(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners on Trial

Ms. Zhang Xiucui, in her 70s, Mr. Pu Xianhu, in his 50s, his wife, Ms. Luo Hongping, Mr. Liu Yufeng, and Ms. Shan Xuimei were tried by the Zichuan District Court on August 28, 2026. The prosecutor suggested to sentence Ms. Zhang to seven years to life in prison; Mr. Pu and Ms. Luo five to six years; Mr. Liu four to five years; and Ms. Shan 12 to 18 months.

2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Qinping’s Second Hearing Postponed

Ms. Wang Qinping, 67, had her first hearing by the Zhangqiu Distinct Court on May 22, 2026. Her second hearing was scheduled for September 9, but was postponed to September 23.

3. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Jingu Faces Indictment

Ms. Yan Jingu’s case was submitted to the local procuratorate around September 10, 2026, by the Dongcheng Police Station.

4. [Xian County, Hebei Province] Lou Yuepu Detained

Lou Yueshang, gender unknown, was arrested on September 17, 2026, by the Xian County Police Department officers. Lou is being held in the Balizhuang Detention Center.

5. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiao Shulan Detained; Ms. Yang Shucui Arrested

Ms. Qiao Shulan was arrested on September 15, 2026, in the Rengezhuang Open Market. Her detention location is unclear.

Ms. Yang Shucui, 76, was arrested at home on September 18, 2026, by officers from the Kaiping Police Department and the Liyuan Police Station, and Shenzhuang Village accountant. They searched the place, confiscating her Falun Gong books and printouts, as will as a picture of the founder of Falun Gong. She was taken to the police station for interrogation. The police videotaped her and forced her to fingerprint a document without allowing her to review the content. She was released shortly after.

6. [Pingshan County, Hebei Province] Oven Ten Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

Mr. Ren Yinhai was arrested on September 17, 2026, by officers from the Pingshan Town Police Station. His home was ransacked. His whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Feng Tianxi was harassed on September 14, 2026, by officers from the Pingshan Town Police Station.

Mr. Bai Fenghai was arrested on September 9, 2026, by the Donghuishe Town Police Station officers. His home was ransacked. He was released the same day.

Zhang Qichun, gender unknown; Tianming, nickname; An Sanqing; and several other practitioners were harassed on September 9, 2026, by the Donghuishe Town Police Station officers.

Ms. Qi Xueping, Ms. Zhang Caihong, Ms. Zhang Caixin, and several other practitioners were harassed in September 2026, by officers from the Gangnan Town Police Station.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Zhang Arrested

Zhang, first name and gender unknown, was arrested on September 16, 2026, and released the next day. His or her Falun Gong books were confiscated.

8. [Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Three Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Hu Hong was forced to live away from home after being repeatedly harassed and threatened by Zhongning County Domestic Security Division officers.

Mr. Wang Xiangchen was harassed from August to September 2026, by officers from the Huanghedonglu Police Station and a police station in Xixia District.

Ms. Zhang Jiuxiang was harassed by community worker in late August 2026. Officers of Yingulu Police Station notified her that they would “check on her” every quarter and take photos of her.

9. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Xuepu Released from Prison

Mr. Zhang Xuepu was released from the Jidong Prison on September 14, 2026, after finishing serving three years and two months.

10. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zuo Zhenqi Arrested

Mr. Zuo Zhenqi was arrested at home in mid-September 2026. The police confiscated his Falun books, computers, printers, photocopiers, and other items.

11. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Deng Meijuan and Ms. Zhang Xiuai Released

Ms. Deng Meijuan was arrested on August 31, 2026. She was detained for 10 days and has been released.

Ms. Zhang Xiuai was arrested in early September 2026. She was released on September 17.

12. [Beijing] Ms. Qi Yingchun’s Personal Liberty Restricted

Ms. Qi Yingchun is an employee of Renmin University of China. She has been monitored and subjected to a restriction of her personal liberty by the university for several years.

13. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Shang Junmei Released

Ms. Shang Junmei was arrested on September 9, 2026. She was released on September 16.

14. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Tang Guifang Arrested

Ms. Tang Guifang, in her 70s, was arrested by plainclothes officers on September 6, 2026, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at a community morning market. She was released in the afternoon.
