(Minghui.org) Two women in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, are being detained incommunicado for their faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Jiang Quan

Ms. Jiang Quan, 63, never returned home after her two-year prison term ended on November 29, 2025. Her family was not notified of her whereabouts.

Ms. Jiang’s prison sentence stemmed from her arrest at home on August 3, 2023, by officers from the Tazihu Police Station. They raided her place and confiscated her computer and other personal belongings.

The police kept Ms. Jiang’s family in the dark about her whereabouts for months. The family eventually learned from several insiders that she was held at a brainwashing center, but didn’t know the exact location.

On November 29, 2023, Ms. Jiang was admitted to the Hubei Province Women’s Prison to serve a two-year term. To this day, her family still doesn’t have any details about her indictment, trial, or sentencing.

Before Ms. Jiang’s term ended on November 29, 2025, she was transferred to a different location and still hasn’t returned home. Her family went to the Tazihu Police Station and the local residential committee to ask about her whereabouts, only to be stonewalled.

Local Falun Gong practitioners suspect that Ms. Jiang might be held at the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center, but this remains to be confirmed.

Ms. He Xiaoling

Ms. He Xiaoling was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong outside a supermarket in Qiaokou District on September 19, 2025. Officers from the Qiaokou District Police Department attempted to arrest her at her home in Jiang’an District on October 16, but she wasn’t in. She was arrested in her husband’s hometown, in Gongan County in the same province, on November 11. She was interrogated at the Ganchang Township Police Station in Gongan County for one day and then taken back to Wuhan (about 180 miles away) for detention.

The Hanjiadun Police Station in Qiaokou District approved Ms. He’s arrest and held her at the Wuhan City First Lockup for 15 days. Instead of releasing her on November 27 when her detention term expired, the police transferred Ms. He to a brainwashing center in Wuchang District.

Her family wasn’t allowed to visit or contact her, and the authorities also refused to provide any information about the brainwashing center, including name or location. No formal paperwork regarding Ms. He’s case was provided, either.
