(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

5. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Hongyu Harassed
6. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Mr. Shao Jizhong Arrested
7. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Wentao Arrested

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Geng Yafang Arrested

Ms. Geng Yafang, 79, was recorded by surveillance cameras while posting Falun Gong materials. She was arrested on November 4, 2025, and taken to the Nanhu Police Station. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, informational brochures, a printer, and a laptop. She was released at 10 p.m. that night.

Ms. Geng went to the police station on December 15 to demand that the police return her backpack and other personal belongings. They told her to return the next day to pick up the items, only to arrest her again that night. She was interrogated overnight at the police station and taken to the Changchun City Detention Center the next day. The police are about to submit her case to Chaoyang District Procuratorate to have her arrest approved.

2. [Tianjin] A Female Practitioner Arrested

A female practitioner, in her 60s, was arrested in early February 2026, by officers of the Huangzhuang Township Police Station, after she was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong.

3. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Caihong’s Home Ransacked

Officers of the Zhuwu Town Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Caihong’s home in early February 2026 and ransacked the place. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and a laptop.

4. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Yixiu and Mr. Liu Yurong Arrested

Mr. Liu Yixiu and Mr. Liu Yurong were arrested on January 7, 2026. They were held at the Laiyang City Lockup and released on February 7.

5. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Hongyu Harassed

Three officers from Beima Town Police Station, led by village security head Wang Cheng, broke into Ms. Wang Hongyu’s home, on February 11, 2026. They harassed her and took pictures of her.

6. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Mr. Shao Jizhong Arrested

Mr. Shao Jizhong was arrested.

7. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Wentao Arrested

Mr. Song Wentao was arrested on February 10, 2026, at South Qufu Farmers’ Market while talking to people about Falun Gong. He was taken to the Xiyuan Police Station by three plainclothes officers. They handcuffed him and took photos of him. Meanwhile, Weihai Economic Development Zone Police Department officers ransacked his home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and lectures. He was released after 5 p.m. that day.
