(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qiao Chenglin Arrested
8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Xiufang Arrested
9. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Kan Jixiang and Ms. Chen Arrested

1. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dai Lanqiu Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Dai Lanqiu, in her 50s, was arrested at home around July 25, 2025. She is being held at Dalian Women’s Detention Center. Her family has not been allowed to visit her.

On January 22, 2026, Ms. Dai’s family learned that she had been transferred to Shenyang Prison to serve a two-year term. They contacted the prison, but were still not allowed to visit her.

2. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Yongfang Arrested

Ms. Du Yongfang was arrested on January 21, 2026.

3. [Faku County, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Kang Wei Detained

Practitioner Kang Wei was arrested by officers from the Development Zone Police Station on January 21, 2026. Kang has been admitted to the Shenyang City Detention Center for 15 days.

4. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] At Least Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lu Shuxian, Ms. Qiu Jiaxiu, Ms. Liu Peizhi, and Ms. Wang Liangliang were arrested between January 12 and 16, 2026.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xueyan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xueyan, 65, was arrested by Jinqiao Police Station officers on January 21, 2026. They confiscated her computer and cell phone. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Three Sisters Arrested

Three sisters, Ms. Liu Yuzhu, Ms. Liu Yuzhi and Ms. Liu Yushan, were arrested on January 8, 2026, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Both Ms. Liu Yuzhi and Ms. Liu Yushan have been released. Ms. Liu Yuzhu remains in detention at the Pudong Detention Center.

7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qiao Chenglin Arrested

Mr. Qiao Chenglin was arrested at home by Shuangshan First Police Station officers on January 13, 2026, after they saw him putting up Falun Gong posters. He has been held at the Guanzhuang Detention Center since.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Xiufang Arrested

Ms. Gao Xiufang, a former employee of the Haihua Group Company Refinery, was arrested by Dajiawa Police Station officers on January 13, 2026. Officers of the Binhai Police Department ransacked her home the next day. She refused to cooperate with the officers or write guarantee statements. She has started a hunger strike in protest while in custody.

9. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Kan Jixiang and Ms. Chen Arrested

Ms. Kan Jixiang and Ms. Chen were arrested on January 21, 2026, and released the next day.

10. [Beijing] Ms. Fu Rong Arrested

Ms. Fu Rong, 64, was arrested at home by Dewai Police Station officers on December 17, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She was detained at the Xicheng District Detention Center and released on January 16, 2026.

11. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Zhaofu and His Wife Ms. Wang Meiling’s Home Ransacked

Mr. Zhang Zhaofu and his wife Ms. Wang Meiling were harassed by officers from Xiaomenjia Town Police Station on January 17, 2026. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong and Falun Gong books.

Ms. Wang was taken to the police station for interrogation and released that afternoon. The police refused to return her Falun Gong books.

12. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Ruilian and Ms. Xie Liping Arrested

Ms. Zhang Ruilian and Ms. Xie Liping were arrested by officers from Fengnan District Domestic Security Division on January 14, 2026, while talking to people about Falun Gong at Xugezhuang Farmers’ Market. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Zhang was detained for five days, and Ms. Xie was detained for seven days.

13. [Youyi County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Zhongwen Arrested

Mr. Li Zhongwen was arrested by Youyi Town Police Station officers on the evening of January 14, 2026, while distributing Falun Gong materials. They ransacked his home and confiscated his computer and printer. He is held at the Youyi County Detention Center.
