(Minghui.org) A friend of mine came to see me in July 1998 and brought me a copy of Zhuan Falun. He spoke highly of the book and told me there was also a practice site in our area.
I finished reading Zhuan Falun in a few days and was deeply inspired by the profundity of the Fa principles and the realization of the true meaning of why we have reincarnated as humans into this world.
“Wow! This is a heavenly book!” I thought to myself. In December that year, I went to the local practice site and told the assistant that I wanted to practice Falun Gong.
After that, every day after work, I would take my wife and my two daughters in a tricycle to study the Fa and do the exercises with others at the practice site. I also did the exercises at around 4:00 a.m. every morning. Once, while I was doing the second exercise, I could hear the sound of Falun rotating in front of my chest.
Soon after, my lingering health issues, such as stomach problems, tuberculosis, frequent colds, and so on, all disappeared. My wife’s arthritis was also healed. It was such a wonderful feeling being free of illnesses!
In the spring of 2007, I was working at a construction site. I had to go into a high-voltage room to remove electrical wires. Unfortunately, the positive and negative circuits short-circuited, causing an arc flash explosion that burned both my hands and face.
All of those 100-odd people working at the site heard the explosion. Seeing the black smoke billowing out of the high-voltage room, they all thought that whoever was inside must have perished.
They were in total surprise when they saw me walk out of the room and called the boss, who offered to drive me to the hospital. “Don’t worry,” I said to him, “I practice Falun Gong, and Master Li takes care of me. I’ll be fine.”
The boss still wanted to take me to the hospital for observation, but I declined his offer. In the end, he gave up on the hospital but insisted on taking me home.
When I returned home, my elder daughter was so scared when she saw my charred face that she started crying. I looked at my face in the mirror and saw that it was all black, so I rinsed it with clear water, and all the burned skin came off.
While I was sleeping, pus kept running down my face, but I didn’t feel any pain. I knew that Master had borne all the suffering for me and helped me repay a karmic life debt.
When I did the second exercise, I could feel Falun rotating on my face, and I knew clearly that Master was adjusting my body.
All my neighbors came to see me, but none of them recognized me due to the injuries. “Arc light is toxic. If you don’t get treated in a hospital, it could lead to leukemia, and it could leave dark scars on your face, which could last for years,” one of them said.
I wasn’t moved and kept studying the Fa and doing the exercises every day. Amazingly, my scorched face healed in just two weeks, and my skin looked even better than before, fair with a rosy glow.
Having witnessed the miraculous healing of my badly burned face, all my family members, relatives and friends believed in the power of Falun Dafa, which made it very easy for them to quit the CCP organizations later on.
In September 2015, I was working overtime one evening, and didn’t finish until late. As I was riding my motorbike across the road, the truck in front of me blocked my view, and I crashed into a taxi that was driving fast from behind the truck.
My motorbike landed over ten meters away. I was knocked into the air, did a forward flip, and landed on my feet right in front of the taxi.
“Are you okay?” asked the anxious taxi driver as he hurried toward me. “I’m fine,” I said, and asked how much it would cost to repair his taxi. He took a quick look and said, “Around 400 yuan.” I gave him 400 yuan for the repair and said goodbye.
No ordinary reasoning could explain how I was able to land on my feet unharmed after crashing into a taxi and flying into the air. I knew that it was because I practiced Falun Dafa and Master protected me, and once again helped me repay a life debt owed from a previous life.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, I was on my electric scooter, headed to the hospital to visit my granddaughter, when I collided with another man on an electric scooter. I was unconscious, and an ambulance took me to a hospital.
After I regained consciousness, a doctor used my phone to call my family. When they arrived at the hospital, they were told that my face was badly injured and that I would need stitches to repair a tear at the corner of my eye.
But I said, “I’m fine. Let’s go home,” so we left. After I got home, the corner of my eye bled for 24 hours, but seven days later, both my face and my eye were back to normal.
I must have accumulated many karmic debts in my countless reincarnations in the past, and yet Master has borne so much suffering for me. Thank you, Master.
My elder daughter studied the Fa for a while with us when she was young, so she has always known Falun Dafa is good and has done a lot in helping us save people during the Fa-rectification period.
Two years before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, she often complained about abdominal pain. After a checkup in the hospital, doctors said she had an egg-sized cyst in her lower abdomen and suggested immediate surgery.
However, she had already booked a flight to Canada to visit her younger sister and to go see Shen Yun. My wife said to her, “Since you have already booked your flight, you might as well go there first and see Shen Yun, and deal with the problem when you get back.” My elder daughter agreed.
My younger daughter, who also practices Falun Dafa, took her sister to see Shen Yun twice while she was in Canada. My elder daughter called us, saying that Shen Yun was truly amazing, and she shed buckets of tears while watching the shows.
She spent two months in Canada. When she came back and returned to the hospital, the cyst was no longer there—another example of the extraordinary power of Dafa!
My 93-year-old mother lives with my younger brother. During the pandemic in 2021, she fell and broke her femur. Doctors said she was too old for surgery, and it would be best to manage her condition at home.
Because my brother was too busy with work to take care of her, he called me and asked for help. So, I went to his place with recordings of Master’s Fa teachings. I told my mom to listen to the recordings and to recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Five days later, Mom said to me, “What he said is so good. Is this person a big Buddha?”
“Yes, Mom. So you understand what he was saying. He is indeed a big Buddha.” I felt really happy for her.
I spent a month at my younger brother’s place, and my mom listened to the Fa teachings every day. Then I had to go home because my daughter was about to go into labor, and I needed to help take care of her.
A few days later, my younger brother called me and said that Mom’s leg had healed and she was able to walk. I was overjoyed and knew that Master had once again borne the karmic suffering for sentient beings.
Because the police often harassed my wife and me for not giving up Dafa, we decided to move to Canada to live with our younger daughter. We arrived in Canada in 2023.
My elder daughter has two children, and we helped take care of them after they were born. Our granddaughter was just over a year old when we moved to Canada.
On Chinese New Year’s eve, January 21, 2023, we got a phone call from my elder daughter’s mother-in-law, who said that our granddaughter was running a fever all night and started having seizures early the next morning.
She was taken to a big hospital in Harbin, but they couldn’t bring her fever down with medication. Doctors said that she could have intussusception, a serious intestinal issue in infants.
“No, she can’t have that,” I assured her.
On the eighth day of the Chinese New Year, while my wife and I were helping with the truth-clarification site in Chinatown, my elder daughter sent us a short video of my granddaughter, in which she told her to wave at us. But she was too weak even to do that and just murmured. She looked much thinner than before.
My daughter told me that she dreaded visiting her daughter in the hospital and was really miserable. I also felt very sad after seeing the video.
After we got home, my wife and I decided to send righteous thoughts to support our granddaughter. We knelt in front of Master’s portrait and asked him to save our granddaughter.
While sending righteous thoughts, I tried to communicate with my granddaughter’s Main Spirit and said, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I tried to communicate with her Main Spirit three times and sent forth righteous thoughts with my wife for an hour.
The next day, I got a phone call again from my daughter’s mother-in-law, who told me excitedly, “Our granddaughter is well now! Her fever is gone, and she can eat!”
My granddaughter was soon discharged from the hospital. One amazing thing was that, when she got home, she called everyone, men and women, “Grandpa.” I instantly understood that it was because I communicated with her Main Spirit while sending forth righteous thoughts. It was our compassionate Master who saved her life.
Looking back on my path of cultivation, Master has been by my side all the time, protecting me every step I’ve taken. No words can express my deepest gratitude to Master for his compassionate salvation and grace.
I’m determined to try even harder and be more diligent in cultivation, measuring my conduct by the Fa principles and letting go of all attachments not in line with the Fa, so that I can return to my true home with Master.
