(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Jimo City, Shandong] Ms. Zhao Fangyu Harassed
2. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Yuanchang and Ms. Wang Shulan Harassed
3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chang Xinhong Persecuted
1. [Jimo City, Shandong] Ms. Zhao Fangyu Harassed
Ms. Zhao Fangyu, around 75, was harassed multiple times at home between December 2025 and January 2026, by local police and agents from the Chaohai Comprehensive Management Office.
The police later arrested Ms. Zhao and raided her home. When she refused to sign a statement to renounce Falun Gong, they forcibly dragged her to the police car, and her pants were pulled off in the process. She was later released on bail. The police installed surveillance cameras around her apartment building to monitor her.
2. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Yuanchang and Ms. Wang Shulan Harassed
Mr. Li Yuanchang was harassed at home by two officers from the Tuoshan Police Station in late November 2025. They questioned whether he was still practicing Falun Gong and asked for the personal information about his family members living with him.
Ms. Wang Shulan was also harassed at home by Tuoshan Police Station officers in late November 2025.
3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chang Xinhong Detained
Ms. Chang Xinhong was arrested in October 2023 for placing informational materials about Falun Gong on cars. She was given 10 days of administrative detention, which wasn’t enforced at the time. On September 19, 2025, three officers from the Huayuan Police Station arrested Ms. Chang and detained her for 10 days at the Jinan City Third Lockup. She was also demoted at work thereafter.
