(Minghui.org) The eight touring companies of New York-based Shen Yun continued their world tour during the second week of March 2026 with performances in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, and the United States.
Packed houses and sold-out performances attest to the tremendous popularity of the performing arts company. In Germany’s Mülheim, four sold-out performances attracted theatergoers from surrounding countries including the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Poland.
Prior to Shen Yun’s performances in Valencia, Spain, the Chinese embassy sent letters to Valencian officials and the theater, pressuring them to cancel the performances (which were sold out) and urging city officials not to attend. Unfazed by any threats, government officials nonetheless attended the performance, with many attending as a group.
Shen Yun North America Company performed to a full house at the Plaza Theatre in El Paso, Texas, on the evening of March 14.

“It was impressive – every detail,” she said.
“It sounded like it was recorded because it was so perfect.
“I wonder how many hours they put into this beautiful art to give it to us. I’m so grateful,” she said.
“Really a Feat”

Business director Raymond King, his wife Amber King, and their daughter, Valerie, saw Shen Yun in Midland, Texas, on March 11.
Raymond spoke of the spiritual significance of the performance. “It’s very important. As the song before the break said, we have to return to a spiritual path. The modern world and the modern things we’re doing—they hurt us. But we have an opportunity to return to that if we only return to that spiritual nature.
“There’s a strong family connection and a strong spiritual connection,” Mr. King said. “There’s obviously a love for their people, a love for their country, and for the history that they have—and the love that they have for each other to actually keep this alive.”
He said he found the dance depicting the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners particularly moving. “Knowing that that persecution has been there—since we’ve seen the show before, we understand it—but it’s still heartbreaking to know that those things happen,” he said.
Mrs. King, an administration professional, was captivated by the dancers’ skill and athleticism. “It’s honestly breathtaking to watch some of the stunts and the dances,” she said. “It’s really a feat to see how athletic they are, but also how graceful and beautiful they are.
“The way they control their costumes, the way they control their movements—even their feet—you can’t hear them. It’s amazing. It’s honestly just a really neat show to watch.
“The story from beginning to end is phenomenal to see,” she said. “The way they portray each section and all of the important pieces that make up this culture and the entire process—it’s really beautiful.”
Their daughter, Valerie, was impressed by the performers’ coordination and skill. “It’s amazing the way they bring all their skills together,” she said. “You can tell that everyone has worked on this their entire lives. This isn’t something they just picked up last week.
“You can hear how well the orchestra plays together,” Valerie said. “They coordinate with the dancers, and the dancers coordinate with the screen. Everything works so well together—it’s amazing!”
“It Was Really Enjoyable”

Tiffany Dallosto, a dancer, saw Shen Yun in Melbourne, Australia, on March 12.
Ms. Dallosto said, “I think you guys are all amazing. Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s really inspirational to be watching you guys up there doing what you do, and it does make everybody feel really good about themselves.
“Even for myself, being a performer and being on the other side of it, it really does still put a smile on my face and makes me want to keep doing what I’m doing as well.
“Today was really amazing. It was so unique as well, very different from what I do as a profession. It was really enjoyable. The costumes were amazing, the dancers were phenomenal.
“It was really interesting to learn that the acrobatics and gymnastics actually come from the history of the country as well. So it was really interesting to see the culture and the style of the dance.
“The history that I learned from watching all of the different routines, I think it’s definitely something that I can take. I feel a lot lighter after watching the show as well,” Ms. Dallosto concluded.

“I could feel the presence of the divine in almost all the elements of all the programs. I’ve never seen such a deeply touching performance,” she said.
“It Fills Your Soul”

Artist Nicole Shaw saw Shen Yun in Hamilton on March 12. “In the water dance, those corals and the whites, everything, all the detail in all the costumes, the sparkles, everything—the way that the colors transition from one to another, the fading of the colors or the almost airbrush effect—it’s definitely a feast for the eyes,” Ms. Shaw said.
“I was noticing we better take notice of what’s happening in the background. It’s not just a stagnant image, there’s a lot happening there. And how the characters end up going into the screen. Oh my God, I love it,” she added. “A lot of it, so much of it, is like magic. I’m going to remember this for so long. It’s beautiful.
“It’s a feast for the eyes and you should come. You’ll love it and probably come again and again. It’s just beautiful. It fills your soul,” she concluded.
“Wonderful and Touching”

Musician Frank Tasch and his wife saw Shen Yun in Bremen on March 14. “The performance was wonderful and touching. Especially with the blend of traditional Chinese instruments and symphony orchestra. This was truly impressive. I believe this kind of orchestra is not common. We are probably only fortunate to see it during a tour like Shen Yun,” Mr. Tasch said.
“The music, the dancing, and the special video technology – everything synchronized perfectly,” he noted.
“It Awakens Things that We Carry Inside Us”

Irish-American musician and composer John Kelly and his wife, Spanish soprano Maite Itoiz, saw Shen Yun in Logroño, Spain, on March 14.
“The performance is very exciting,” Mr. Kelly said. “It awakens things that we carry inside us. When we see it and bring it to mind, it awakens many feelings that may have been dormant within us or that have always been there. The feeling is both new and yet not new—it is something we all carry, and it awakens those emotions and what should be awakened. So through art, it is possible.
“It’s the good in life, the purity, and where we feel at home—where everything is about sharing and no one is more important than anyone else,” he explained. “It’s about something higher than ourselves, which I would call a divine force.”
Ms. Itoiz said she felt a similar resonance while watching the performance. “It’s that celestial feeling they project,” she said. “Here in the West, we’re not always very aware of the culture that existed in China before, and I think it’s beautiful that they convey it through dance and music. It’s like a wisdom that existed before, and it awakens something within us—even in Westerners. I think it’s something all human beings share.”
Mr. Kelly is a core member of the internationally acclaimed group “The Kelly Family,” which has recorded more than 25 albums and sold over 20 million copies worldwide.
Ms. Itoiz, who comes from a Spanish musical family, is a soprano singer, producer, composer, and classical guitarist who also plays harp and piano. The couple will celebrate their 20th anniversary this year with a special concert tour.
For the two professional musicians, Shen Yun’s live orchestra was one of the highlights of the performance.
“Wow, that’s a real treat,” Mr. Kelly said. “Having a live orchestra and everything performed live is amazing—you can’t put a price on it. The blend of Western and Chinese instruments has been excellent. The compositions are wonderful, and it’s very pleasing to the ear. It sounds very natural.”
Ms. Itoiz also paid close attention to Shen Yun’s bel canto soloist. “He has a very clear voice. He projects very well, and you can tell he really feels what he’s singing,” she said.
Beyond the artistic excellence, the performance’s spiritual themes left a deep impression on the couple.
“As soon as the curtain opened and I saw the celestial world, I was almost in tears,” Ms. Itoiz said. “It was really beautiful.”
“When they were in that heavenly world, it felt as if they were being sent to Earth,” Ms. Itoiz said. “Deep down, I think we all carry a kind of memory—that we come from somewhere we can call home, and we hope to return there one day. That is the feeling the performance gave me.”
Mr. Kelly said the performance also conveyed a message about the possibility of inner change.
“I think the message is that we come from a place where everything is more in harmony and in light,” he said. “We live in a place where many things have been distorted and that purity has been lost. But I believe that change is possible. I think we all have within us the possibility to bring about change and to purify this world. In the end, everything begins with oneself.”
Ms. Itoiz said preserving traditions is “very important.” Mr. Kelly agreed, noting that tradition carries timeless value.
“Tradition often has the image of being something from the past,” he said. “But in reality, it is not from the past. It carries purity and identity. It doesn’t matter whether it was 2,000 years ago or today—it never goes out of style. It is eternal.”
Both artists expressed admiration for Shen Yun’s Artistic Director.
“I would like to offer my congratulations,” Ms. Itoiz said. “He is very brave for bringing this project forward, and also very talented. From what I understand, he is also a composer and arranger. What he is doing is wonderful—please keep going.”
“I think he has been a very brave man,” Mr. Kelly said. “To accomplish this in a world where obstacles come from all sides must have been very difficult.”
