(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Zuo Xiuyun Admitted to Prison
2. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Jinxia’s Low Income Payments Suspended

5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qi Yuling Harassed
6. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Await Verdicts
1. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Zuo Xiuyun Admitted to Prison
Ms. Zuo Xiuyun was admitted to the Fujian Province Women’s Prison in February 2026 to serve a prison term of three years and five months.
2. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Jinxia’s Low Income Payments Suspended
Ms. Wang Jinxia’s low income subsidy has been suspended since late 2025.
3. [Hanchuan City, Hubei Province] Ms. He Cuihong and Ms. Yan Zhangxia Face Trial
Ms. He Cuihong and Ms. Yan Zhangxia was arrested at their respective homes on September 18, 2025, by officers from Wuchang District Police Department in Wuhan City in the same province. They have been held at the Wuhan City First Detention Center since. The Wuchang District Procuratorate has indicted them, and they are now facing trial in the Wuchang District Court.
4. [Chongqing] Ms. Xu Zaishu and Mr. Fu Baishu Arrested
Ms. Xu Zaishu, 76, was harassed at home on January 15, 2026. Five officers from the Changshou District Domestic Security Division and Gelan Town Police Station, along with one neighborhood committee staff member, broke into her home and searched it. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, copies of Minghui Weekly, currency bills with Falun Gong information printed on them, and other items. They took her to the police station for interrogation. She was released around midnight.
Another practitioner, Mr. Fu Baishu, in his 70s, was arrested by Fengshan Police Station officers in mid-January 2026 for distributing Falun Gong materials near the Shajing Grocery Market. He was released later that day.
5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qi Yuling Harassed
Ms. Qi Yuling was away on a business trip to Zhejiang Province on February 1, 2026. That morning, Wang, a staff member from her neighborhood committee, called and texted her. When she didn’t respond, three groups of people went to her home to look for her the next day.
Ms. Qi was stopped at the Shaoxing East Railway Station in Zhejiang Province on February 3, just before boarding a train back to Qingdao City. She was taken to the train station’s security office and searched. An officer took a photo of her with her holding her ID before allowing her to board the train.
Agents with the local Political and Legal Affairs Committee also called Ms. Qi on February 3 and ordered her to record a video to renounce Falun Gong. She didn’t comply. They then went to her workplace to harass her. She still refused to cooperate.
6. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Await Verdicts
Ms. Luan Yanping, in her 50s; Ms. Li Yufang, in her 70s; and Ms. Cui Xiuju, in her 70s, were arrested at a community fair on July 17, 2025. During their hearing in the Longkou City Court on January 23, 2026, Ms. Cui appeared to be in a delirious state and had trouble hearing the questions the judge and prosecutor asked her. After the hearing, the practitioners’ families repeatedly tried to contact presiding judge Zhao Yu and prosecutor Lyu Shasha to seek justice but never received any response. The three women are awaiting their verdicts in the Yantai City Detention Center, where they have been held since their arrests.
