(Minghui.org) I noticed a group of elderly men using shovels to clear weeds along a road. One of them appeared listless—his eyes were vacant, and his movements were feeble and lethargic. I greeted him and we began to chat. The old man said he came outside to clear his head. He had suffered a stroke, and his wife was bedridden and paralyzed. He was deeply distressed and had lost interest in living.
I said, “If you sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ you will surely be able to overcome your difficulties.” He was skeptical, so I added: “It’s effective if you’re sincere. If you recite the words regularly, they will work.”
More than a month later, I was stopped by the same elderly man. He was again clearing weeds. This time, he looked energetic. He excitedly called over the other elderly people who were working and told me, “Sister, last time you told me to recite, ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ I’ve recited it whenever I had a spare moment. Look at me now—I completely recovered! I have so much energy these days; Falun Dafa truly is wonderful!” After he said this, the old man excitedly picked up a shovel and showed me just how vigorously he could work.
I was deeply moved and happy for him. Seizing the opportunity, I shared the facts about Falun Dafa with all the elderly people present. I then advised the man who had the stroke to tell his wife to recite these two phrases as well. With tears welling up in his eyes, he excitedly shouted: “Look! The hospital couldn’t cure my illness, but simply reciting these two phrases healed me! Falun Dafa is truly good!”
I had an appointment with a lawyer. While I waited, I clarified the truth to each person who came to meet with him. Afterwards, I met with the lawyer. He had a strong sense of justice and deeply sympathized with Falun Dafa. He vehemently criticized the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and began listing its various atrocities; his voice could be heard clearly in the hallway.
The lawyer said there was no need for him to withdraw from the CCP because he was fired from his previous workplace years ago. I explained that when he joined the Party, he raised his fist and sworn a solemn oath before its flag, pledging to defend it with his life. In order to nullify this oath, he had to publicly declare that he withdrew from the Party. When Heaven destroys the CCP, the divine beings would protect him. The lawyer withdrew from the Party with his real name.
As I was leaving the law firm, another gentleman, a doctor, arrived. I clarified the truth to him. He understood and agreed to quit the two CCP organizations that he had joined, the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. I suggested an alias, but to my surprise, he said loudly: “I’ll use my real name to quit!”
There are many similar stories. Reflecting on my experiences over the years, the journey has been filled with both joy and sorrow. I know that it’s urgent to help Master save people, so I dare not let up.
