(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Song Fuyuan was tried by the Changtu County Court on March 4, 2026, and was sentenced to 18 months in prison on March 31, 2026.
Ms. Zhang Yuemei and Ms. Yu Hongzhi were sentenced by the Pingdu City Court on April 2, 2026. Ms. Zhang was sentenced to 22 months and fined 8,000 yuan. Ms. Yu was given 16 months and fined 5,000 yuan. Ms. Zhang has appealed.
Ms. Qu Lihong, Ms. Niu Guihua, and Sun, first name and gender unknown, were arrested on February 7, 2026. Ms. Qu was issued a formal arrest warrant on March 17, 2026.
Mr. Cao Xingfu, in his 60s, was arrested on March 25, 2026, by officers from the Tinghu District Police Department.
Mr. Wang Qiang was arrested on March 24, 2026, and given 15 days in the Anxin County Police Department Lockup.
Officers from the Anxin County Domestic Security Division approached his family, saying that they could release Mr. Wang if the family paid 200,000 yuan; otherwise they would proceed with his prosecution. The family refused, and the police put Mr. Wang under criminal detention on April 2.
Ms. Sun Guiying was arrested in mid-November 2025. Officers from the local police station ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books, computers, cell phones, and other belongings. She was taken to the police station for interrogation and released on bail at night.
Mr. Xing Shenghui was harassed at work on April 2, 2026, by officers from the Chengguan Police Station. They took photos of him without his permission.
