(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in four cities or counties in two provinces, where at least six practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Manye and Her Husband Arrested
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Yuyan Faces Indictment
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yaping Faces Trial
4. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Zengyue Repeatedly Harassed
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Shumin Arrested
1. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Manye and Her Husband Arrested
Ms. Yang Manye was arrested at home on April 11, 2026. Her home was ransacked. Her husband was taken away at the same time. Their whereabouts are unknown.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Yuyan Faces Indictment
Mr. Li Yuyan was arrested on April 1, 2026, by Donghu Police Station officers. The police have submitted his case to the Xinmin City Procuratorate.
3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yaping Faces Trial
Ms. Wang Yaping’s hearing by the Hunnan District Court has been postponed from April 10 to April 22, 2026.
4. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Zengyue Repeatedly Harassed
Ms. Chen Zengyue, in her 70s, was harassed at home on January 17, 2026, by officers from the Wolongshan Police Station. They confiscated her Falun Gong books.
The police harassed Ms. Chen again in late March 2026 and ordered her to sign her bail release document.
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Shumin Arrested
Ms. Zhang Shumin was arrested at home on April 11, 2026. Her cell phone was confiscated. The police tried to force her to sign a certain document. When she refused, they pressured her family to persuade her. Her daughter even slapped her in the face over ten times. She was released after midnight.
