(Minghui.org) I used to be a middle school teacher, but in 2010, I was illegally arrested and imprisoned for three years because I distributed pamphlets about Falun Dafa. The school fired me.
After I was released from prison, I found a job with a tutoring school, where I also worked as a janitor and cook.
The owner of the school asked if I knew a certain teacher. I said that I did, that he was a former colleague. When he came to the school for an interview and saw me sweeping the hallway, he told the owner that I practiced Falun Dafa, that I had been imprisoned for three years, and that I had just been released. She responded by praising my good work ethic and friendliness and said that my practicing Falun Dafa was not her concern.
She also said she knew I was a practitioner because she saw I had Dafa books. She explained that she used to be skeptical about Falun Dafa, because she listened to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) propaganda, so she kept a close eye on me. She was well aware that the students respected me, how clean the building was after I began working there, and that it was the best among the area schools. She used to tutor elementary school students only, but after I started working there, she added classes for middle and high school students. Besides academic classes, she now offers enrichment classes such as art and calligraphy. She told me her business flourished after she hired me.
She said her temper improved, too. Whenever students talked back to her, she was able to reason with them with patience and she was no longer angry. She used to have problems with eating certain foods, but that was also resolved. She said I brought her good fortune.
I told her that she received good fortune because she had a sense of justice and compassion. She did not listen to baseless slander and let me keep my job.
I often told the owner about Falun Dafa. I told her that practitioners adhere to the highest standards and that Falun Dafa is practiced throughout the world. Countless people became healthy without spending a cent and found new purpose in their lives. My own chronic health problems went away after I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. I gave her a copy of Zhuan Falun. When she read it, she said every character glowed with a golden light.
Before I started working there, the owner fell down some stairs and injured her knees. She had to have metal hardware put in. I was working for her when she had the hardware removed. She came to the kitchen to help the day after her surgery. She said this time the pain was not as bad because she recited, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and asked Master Li Hongzhi for help the day before the operation. She said Master Li is a true savior!
One time when I was moving a pot of boiling hot stew off the stove, the ladle in the pot fell out and splashed hot soup all over the floor. Amazingly, not a single drop touched my legs or feet. The owner exclaimed, “Master protected you!” Her son said, “That would’ve caused a bad burn for anyone else, and we would have to pay a lot in compensation!” The owner pressed her palms together in front her chest, saying, “Thank you, Master!”
The next day, the owner said to me, “In the past, when I went to the market, many practitioners came up to me, telling me how great Falun Dafa is and to quit the CCP organizations. That annoyed me. If it weren’t for you, I would not have known the truth and wouldn’t now be blessed with good fortune!
“Now that my mind and body have also improved, after my knee operation, and seeing what happened to you yesterday, I finally understand why you’d rather lose your job than give up practicing Falun Dafa, why many people still practice when the government does not allow it, why you risk going to prison to tell others about Falun Dafa, and persuade people to quit the CPP.
“You all are great and selfless—you are saving people! The CCP is not only corrupt, it also spreads lies, It doesn’t want people to be good and receive blessings. The CCP is evil to the core. Heaven will eliminate it. I believe it will happen. I must quit it!”
I worked for her for five years. Every summer, I made sure there was a plate of watermelon wedges on every table. The school has three floors, seven classrooms, offices, and a kitchen. The owner gave me a master key. Since she opened her business over 10 years ago, she has never given any other non-family member a master key. She trusts Falun Dafa practitioners and asked me to ask other practitioners I know to work for her.
I hope that people who continue listening to the CCP’s lies recognize the truth and not miss this precious opportunity to be saved.
