(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Six Practitioners Facing Trial

Six practitioners will be tried in the Lusong District Court on the morning of April 28, 2026. They are Ms. Liu Rongpei, Ms. Liu Chunqin, Mr. Li Qingjun, Yi Dijun, Zheng Chun, and Zhao Jian.

2. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Su Xueyun and Ms. Miao Ji’e Arrested

Ms. Su Xueyun and Ms. Miao Ji’e were arrested on the morning of April 21, 2026.

3. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Shuzhi Detained

Ms. Sun Shuzhi was discovered carrying amulets and paper currency with Falun Gong messages on them at the Dandong City Railway Station on March 31, 2026. She was arrested. Longquan Police Station officers ransacked her home that evening, but they found nothing. Ms. Sun was detained 15 days and released on bail on April 1, 2026.

4. [Fuping County, Hebei Province] Ms. Duan Jianhua Harassed

Ms. Duan Jianhua was followed home by officer Zhang Zhi on the morning of April 15, 2026. Zhang searched her home and took 1,000 yuan in cash from a drawer.

5. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Han Liansheng Arrested

Two young men reported Mr. Han Liansheng, 66, to the police for distributing informational leaflets about Falun Gong. Chengguan Police Station officers arrested him on the evening of March 27, 2026. His son was called in and paid 2,000 yuan to bail him out.

In order to get the money back and not risk having his job and children’s education adversely affected, his son pressured Mr. Han to sign the guarantee statement.

6. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhu Yuling Facing Trial

Ms. Zhu Yuling, who is elderly, was put on bail in April 2024 after her home was ransacked. Even though she suffered a severe fall in the bathroom, leaving her unable to care for herself at the end of 2025, she continued to receive notices to appear in court It was learned that she will be tried online by the Huicheng District Court on April 27 or 28, 2026.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Rongping’ Harassed

Several officers from the Liyuan Police Station went to Ms. Liu Rongping’s home on the morning of April 21, 2026. They ransacked it and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a computer, two cell phones, and three media players. Ms. Liu was not at home when it happened.

8. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Hu, over 80; Ms. Gao, over 70; and Ms. Yang, were arrested by Wudaohe Police Station officers on the morning of April 21, 2026, for talking to people about Falun Gong at Wudaohe Market in Chengde County. Ms. Hu and Ms. Gao were released that evening. Ms. Yang has been detained in the Chengde County Lockup.

9. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xin Hong and Ms. Lian Shumei Arrested

Ms. Xin Hong and Ms. Lian Shumei were arrested by Anmin Police Station officers on the afternoon of April 20, 2026, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Xin has been released. Ms. Xin was placed under 15-day detention and held in the Dandong City Lockup.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zeng Lingqun Facing Indictment

Surveillance cameras recorded Ms. Zeng Lingqun, 80, distributing calendars in Qingquan Town in December 2025. Her home was later ransacked by Qingquan Town Police Station officers.

Ms. Zeng was summoned to the Hongyang Police Station on April 21, 2026, and told that her case had been filed with the procuratorate.

11. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xiao Zhanfang Detained

Ms. Xiao Zhanfang from Zhaozuo Village in Dongwang Town was arrested by Dongwang Town Police Station officers on April 14, 2026, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong at Dongpang Village Market. She was detained for seven days in the Dingzhou City Lockup and released on April 21, 2026.

12. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Wansheng Released After Being Detained for 6 Years

Mr. Liu Wansheng was sentenced to six years in prison by the Linghai District Court. He was released on April 22, 2026.
