(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an Information Day in Amersfoort, Utrecht, on May 2, 2026, to introduce Falun Dafa and raise awareness about the persecution in China. Their activities received great public support and many people signed a petition calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
As the second largest city of the Province of Utrecht, Amersfoort is an important railway hub. Practitioners held their first Information Day there in the summer of 2025.

Many people were fascinated by the Falun Gong exercises. A woman signed the petition and asked for more information about the practice.
Three women stopped to ask if there was a group exercise site in their city.
A man chatted with a practitioner about the sufferings under Communist rule. A woman joined their conversation and said, “How can we end all these [persecutions]? They are terrible!” The practitioner said that changes would happen when more people saw the true nature of communism.
This woman wishes to help stop the persecution.
Local residents Zama and her mother signed the petition and said it was important for people to have freedom of speech. Zama added, “I agree with [Dafa’s principles of] Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance! I’ll be happy to share this information on my social media.”

Mr. Fardousa Huue signed the petition after reading the informational displays. When he offered to make a donation, a practitioner thanked him but said that practitioners don’t accept money. A half hour later, he came back with his wife and two daughters. They all signed the petition to show their support.

After a man read the information, he asked a practitioner, “Why is the Chinese Communist Party against Falun Gong?” The practitioner told him, “Falun Gong teaches Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, but the Chinese Communist Party maintains its rule with lies and violence. Practitioners in China have been persecuted for 27 years, but they continue to stand firm.” The man said, “True faith can’t be changed by terror!”
