(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

12. [Fenxi County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Wang Genji Missing for Over 10 Years

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Ying Detained

Ms. Li Ying, in her 60s, a retiree of the Jimo District Post Office, was arrested at her mother’s home on the afternoon of April 11, 2026. She is currently detained in the Pudong Detention Center.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xiupei Detained

Ms. Li Xiupei, 62, was arrested on April 5, 2026, by officers from the Huangcheng Police Station and the Shenhe District Domestic Security Division. The police ransacked her home and confiscated three Falun Gong books and three cell phones. Ms. Li is currently detained in the Shenyang City First Detention Center.

3. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Bingfang Arrested

Ms. Liu Beingfang from Shengli Oilfield was arrested on April 8, 2026 when talking to people about Falun Gong.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hu Chunyuan Detained

Ms. Hu Chunyuan was arrested on January 8, 2026. She was then placed under 15-day administrative detention. However, when her family went to pick her up on January 23, 2026, she was not released. The family were told that Ms. Hu had been placed under criminal detention.

Her family hired two lawyers for her. The lawyers tried hard but were still unable to meet with her. The family was going to file a complaint against the police department and the procuratorate.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Jie Released

Ms. Yang Jie, from Huinan Town of Pudong New District, was arrested in April 2024 and had been detained in the Zhangjiang Detention Center. She was recently released.

6. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners were arrested by officers from the Maojian District Domestic Security Division, when talking to people about Falun Gong near the Shiyan City Railway Station on April 8, 2026. The practitioners are Ms. Yan Xiuping, Ms. Liang Hongmin, Ms. Xu Xingrong, over 60, Ms. Deng Aiying, over 70, Ms. Cheng Guiyun, and Ms. Wang Xianzhen, over 70. Three practitioners, including Ms. Wang Xianzhen, Ms. Deng Aiying and Ms. Xu Xingrong, were taken to the Shiyan City Brainwashing Center.

7. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Wang Jinbo Detained

Mr. Wang Jinbo was arrested by Changfeng Police Station officers in Wanbolin District on March 16, 2026. His case has been submitted to the Wanbolin District Procuratorate. Mr. Wang is currently detained in the Geliaogou Detention Center.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shi Qing Detained

Ms. Shi Qing from Qiaokou District was arrested by Hualou Street Police Station officers in Jianghan District on March 18, 2026. She was placed under 10-day detention and was supposedly released on March 28, 2026. However, she didn’t come back home that day, and her family was told to deliver her clothes to the local community office. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Yu Arrested

Practitioner Yu, over 70 and from Zhifu District, was arrested when talking to people about Falun Gong in a market on the morning of April 14, 2026. Yu’s home was ransacked.

10. [Shanghai] Ms. Cong Peixi Facing Trial

Ms. Cong Peixi from Yangpu District received a summons and is scheduled to appear in court next month.

11. [Chongqing] Practitioner Liu Missing

Practitioner Liu, around 65, has been missing for over two months.

12. [Fenxi County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Wang Genji Missing for Over 10 Years

Mr. Wang Genji, 66 and from Nuanquantou Village, Qingxiang Town, Fenxi County, has not returned to his hometown for over 10 years. His whereabouts are unknown.
