(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen was scheduled to appear in the Jialing District Court on May 12, 2026.
Mr. Yuan Xurong, around 80, was recorded by a surveillance camera while distributing Falun Gong printouts in a residential building on April 26, 2026. He was arrested by officers from the Zhaolingpu Police Station. They ransacked his home and seized his Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and a printer. He was released the same day.
Ms. Su Yingying talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on April 29, 2026. Someone reported her. She was arrested by officers from the Jingcheng Road Police Station. Her home was ransacked. She is being held at the Sunzhai Lockup.
Mr. Yu Junjie was arrested on April 20, 2026. He is being held in the Shuangcheng District Detention Center.
Ms. Liu Rumin was stopped by police who were staking out her apartment building’s entrance when she returned home on May 4, 2026. She was ordered to sign a document to confirm she lived there. She noticed her husband’s signature on the document. It’s unclear whether she signed it.
Wang Anqun’s home was ransacked on April 16, 2026, by officer Ma Qian and others from the Wuhua District Police Department. They seized Wang’s Falun Gong books, computers, printers, and other items. Wang was released at night.
Ms. Gong Dianmei was harassed at home on January 7, 2026, by several police officers. They confiscated some Falun Gong materials and left.
On January 12, officers from the Linqu County Domestic Security Division went to her home and took her and her husband to their office. They interrogated her about where she obtained the Falun Gong materials confiscated from her days earlier. She refused to answer.
The Domestic Security Division officers went to her home again the next day. She was not there. The officers seized more Falun Gong books from her.
Ms. Liu Runmiao, 34, was sentenced to three years and three months in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by the Yingze District Court. She appealed to the Taiyuan City Intermediate Court in October 2025. The judge had indicated that he intends to uphold her original verdict. She is now awaiting the result at the Taiyuan City Fourth Women’s Detention Center.
Ms. Sun Lijuan was released on April 24, 2026, after completing a five-year prison term.
Ms. Li Jianchun, around 60, stayed in Hefei City, Anhui Province, in the past few months to help look after her child. She was arrested there on April 24, 2026, by officers from the Binhu Police Station, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was admitted to the Changfeng Women’s Detention Center the next day.
