(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities to introduce the spiritual practice and celebrate World Falun Dafa Day in Padova on May 16, 2026. They set up an information booth on Via San Fermo Street and talked with passersby about the benefits of practicing Falun Dafa and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes it.
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first made public on May 13, 1992, by Master Li Hongzhi. Those who practice follow it the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It has been embraced in over 100 countries and regions, and its main teaching, Zhuan Falun, has been translated into more than 50 languages.
Practitioners distributed origami lotus flowers and balloons, and many people stopped to talk with them and learn about Falun Dafa.
Passersby learn about Falun Dafa and sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution.
After learning about the CCP’s persecution, many people condemned the human rights abuses and signed the petition calling for an end to the brutality. People watched the practitioners demonstrate the exercises and many who were interested in learning how to practice asked for more information.
