(Minghui.org) I was 50 years old in 1998, and had multiple illnesses, including headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, stomach problems, and gynecological problems. Even though I took many medications and had spent a great deal of money, my illnesses weren’t healed. Fortunately, I began practicing Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) in April 1998.
I initially began Dafa cultivation to heal illnesses and stay fit. After I obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun, through Fa-study and doing the exercises, within just over two months, without any medication, all my illnesses were miraculously healed. Master Li completely removed the root of my illnesses. Now illness-free and feeling light, I was very comfortable. Thank you, Master, for your compassionate grace.
I’d like to share some of my experiences validating Dafa and clarifying the truth on my cultivation path.
Telling the Head of the Political Security Section About Dafa
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999. Although the persecution hadn’t yet reached our village, we had heard about it. My husband said, “Since the government doesn’t allow you to practice, you should stop. Otherwise, I’ll kick you out of the house.”
I responded, “Why can’t I practice? I haven’t done anything wrong by following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person. You know how many illnesses I had before. They were all healed by practicing Dafa. How could I forget such kindness? Even if you kick me out, I will still practice wherever I am.” He was speechless.
I felt very sad knowing that Dafa was being persecuted. I wondered what I should do. Then I thought that a few practitioners and I could go to the park at 5 a.m., do the exercises, and show people that Dafa was being framed. However, we were reported. The police arrested 10 of us and took us to the county detention center.
One by one, practitioners were called to the detention center office, and told to sign a statement saying they would no longer practice Dafa, which I thought was absurd. When it was my turn, the person taking the statement was the head of the Political Security Section. He asked me, “Now that the state forbids you to practice Falun Gong, will you continue to practice?”
I was unafraid because I hadn’t done anything wrong or violated any law. I didn’t answer him directly. I calmly recounted what I had experienced. All the illnesses I had before practicing Dafa, which hadn’t been healed despite long-term medication, had disappeared through Fa-study and the exercises, without spending any money on medication. I also told him that Dafa teaches people to be good by holding themselves to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He asked me again, “Will you continue to practice?”
I replied, “If I stop, I will die from my illnesses. Of course, I will continue practicing. I can’t just sit and wait to die.”
He then challenged me, “Do you dare to write down and sign what you just said?”
I replied, “What I said is true. As long as you don’t add anything negative about Dafa, I am, of course, okay with signing it.” He told me to come back in the afternoon. I said, “It doesn’t matter. I will say the same thing.” I was taken back to my ward. However, no one came to get me in the afternoon.
I was unlawfully held at the detention center for more than 20 days, and I didn’t sign any statements. In the end, my family had to pay 2,000 yuan to secure my release. Under Master’s protection, I came home safe and sound.
Passing a Family Tribulation
After I was released from the detention center I learned that local township government officials and police officers had told all practitioners’ family members that they had to attend a meeting at the township government office. The authorities lied to them, saying that people who practiced Dafa didn’t want their families. They claimed they were merely following orders from then CCP leader Jiang Zemin, which were: “ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and eliminate them physically. If they are caught, beat them to death; if they die, it will be considered suicide.” Hearing this devastated the practitioners’ families. The families were also forced to hand in practitioners’ Dafa books. This happened while practitioners were still held at the detention center.
After I returned home, I saw that my husband and son believed the Party’s lies. My son said, “Mom, if you still practice, you’ll be sent to a forced labor camp for two years.”
My husband said, “I want to divorce you. People who practice Dafa don’t want their families. I’m giving you a choice: Dafa or our family?”
I wasn’t moved, and replied calmly, “I want both. Without practicing Dafa, I wouldn’t have a healthy body. With a healthy body, I can take care of any household chores, and that’s why we have a harmonious and happy family. Whether I’ve changed for better or worse, you’ve seen it and know it deep inside. How could you possibly believe those evil, fabricated lies? Falun Dafa is not at all like they say!” My husband and son calmed down, as if nothing had happened.
I realized that Master used my family to help me improve my character. I often clarified the facts to them. They went from being against me to being supportive. My son agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliates in 2006. As a result, he was blessed and received a promotion at work. My husband also received blessings. A few times when he was ill, he got better by reciting the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Under Master’s saving grace, my cultivation environment has finally become relaxed. I feel truly grateful to Master.
Letting People Know About Dafa
I began handing out Dafa informational materials like flyers and DVDs in 2000. At that time, such materials were in short supply, and their content needed improvement. Practitioners in the countryside provided us with those materials, and we had to use them wisely. I mostly handed them out at the market, and sometimes went to the countryside to give them to people.
A market was held every three days. On market days, I studied the Fa well and sent forth righteous thoughts before heading out. I took the flyers and DVDs to intersections, and in an upright manner, handed them to people going to the market. I greeted them with a smile, saying, “This is information about Dafa, which has been wronged by corrupt officials. The self-immolation on Tiananmen Square was all fake. You don’t have to be afraid. Dafa teaches people to be good by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It’s for saving sentient beings when the great calamity strikes. You’ll understand what I’m saying when you read them at home. You will also gain good health by reading them.” Most people accepted the materials. We didn’t force them on anyone who didn’t want them.
I then began clarifying the truth and helping people quit the CCP. Whenever I went out to buy groceries or other things, I talked to people about Dafa. I also paid the vendors with money that had information about Dafa printed on the bills. I’d wish them good health first, then talk to them in an upright manner. Most of them accepted what I said and agreed to quit the CCP.
After someone quit, I gave them an amulet. One day, someone I had previously spoken with asked me for a few more amulets. He told me they were for his family. I said, “Only by choosing to quit the CCP on their own will this amulet ensure their safety.”
He replied, “I know! I told them what I learned from you, and they asked me to get the amulets the next time I saw you.”
I took out a notebook in which I recorded names, and asked him to give me the names of his family members and the CCP’s organizations they had joined. I recorded each one. After that, I gave him a few amulets. He took them and happily thanked me. I responded, “Please don’t thank me, thank our Master.” He thanked Master.
The Miraculous Nine Commentaries
One time, when I was handing out the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and had given them all out, I reached the end of a street. As I walked along the next street, I saw a middle-aged man ahead of me. He seemed well educated, and he had parked his motorcycle by the roadside as if waiting for something. At that moment, I thought, “I don’t have any more copies of The Nine Commentaries. What should I do?”
Just then, I subconsciously touched the bag that had held the books and felt a copy inside. I was shocked. Hadn’t I given all the books away? Why was one left? Without thinking, I took out the book and approached him. He was bent over, looking at his motorcycle, searching for something. I called out to him from behind, “Hi, let me give you the Nine Commentaries. Do you want it?”
He didn’t turn his head, still looking for something, and said, “Okay, you can put it on my bike. Thank you.” I put the book on the back of his motorcycle, said goodbye, and left.
On my way home, I wondered where the book had come from. I had given them all out, so why was there one in the bag? Then I understood. Master wanted me to save this predestined person, and provided a book for him. It was truly miraculous.
CCP Secretary Quits the Party
I was reported to police in December 2019 while handing out materials, and was held at the county detention center for more than 20 days. After I returned home, the secretary of the township government’s CCP committee came to my home and said that he and the police station’s instructor wanted to be my guardians.
I asked him to sit down and brought him a cup of tea. Then I said calmly, “Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa. It’s a high-virtue Dafa of the Buddha school, and also the universal law. Dafa teaches people to be good by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The self-immolation was a hoax.” The secretary said he also believed in Buddhism.
I told him that I had previously experienced several illnesses that hadn’t healed despite taking medication for a long time. However, after practicing Dafa for just over two months, without spending a penny, all my illnesses disappeared. After the secretary heard this, he commented, “Falun Gong is truly great! It seems that I was converted by you, although I came with the intention of transforming you.”
I explained the importance of quitting the CCP and sincerely asked him to do so. He agreed, and quit. I understood why the police station instructor never showed up. The secretary had come to learn the truth and be saved to avoid disaster when the CCP falls.
Over more than two decades of cultivation, I’ve made breakthroughs because of my faith in Master and Dafa. I paid close attention to Fa-study and read the Minghui Journals. From 2004 to 2015, I memorized the Fa and recited it from memory. I worked slowly and took over a year to memorize all of Zhuan Falun.
This had a profound effect. My character improved quickly, and things went very smoothly. I later switched back to reading the Fa. I studied two lectures of Zhuan Falun every day, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Under Master’s benevolent protection, I’ve been doing the three things smoothly to this day. I will continue to cultivate diligently, accomplish my mission, and return home with Master.
