(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zuo Xianxin and Ms. Yang Guihong Sentenced to Prison
2. [Xingyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Niu Yuge Sentenced to One Year in Prison
3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Zhaoyong and His Wife Ms. Zhao Detained
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shihua Arrested
5. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yu Guifang Arrested
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu Junjie Detained
7. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Li Daojie and Li Anying Harassed
8. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Shulan Arrested
9. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Yu’e and Ms. Liu Juhua Detained
10. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Wei Tongmian Detained for Ten Months and Counting
11. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liao Yuanhua Detained
12. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Bingfang Detained
13. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Shunming and Ms. He Pinqin Under Residential Surveillance

1. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zuo Xianxin and Ms. Yang Guihong Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zuo Xianxin and Ms. Yang Guihong were tried by the Zhijiang Court on October 24, 2025. The judge issued a conviction in late 2025 without a sentencing trial.

Ms. Zuo was sentenced to five and a half years and Ms. Yang received three years. They were admitted to Hunan Province Women’s Prison on February 24, 2026.

2. [Xingyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Niu Yuge Sentenced to One Year in Prison

Mr. Niu Yuge was arrested by Gaoshan Town Police Station officers in August 2025. He was tried by the Zhongyuan District Court in late 2025, and sentenced to one year in prison in April 2026. He is currently detained in the Sanlizhuang Detention Center.

3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Zhaoyong and His Wife Ms. Zhao Detained

Mr. Gao Zhaoyong and his wife, Ms. Zhao Yuhuan, were arrested at home in Jiaojia Village by Puji Police Station officers on April 25, 2026. The police ransacked their home and confiscated a printer and other personal belongings. It is unknown where the couple are currently detained.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shihua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shihua was arrested at Heliuzi Market on May 8, 2026, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

5. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yu Guifang Arrested

Ms. Yu Guifang was arrested on May 7, 2026.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu Junjie Detained

Mr. Yu Junjie was arrested on April 20, 2026, and is currently being held in the Shuangcheng District Detention Center. His family sent some clothing to him but was denied visitation.

7. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Li Daojie and Li Anying Harassed

Li Daojie and Li Anying were harassed at home on May 8, 2026, by two officers from the Jingdong Police Station. They took photos of the practitioners and said they would “visit” them every month from then on.

8. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Shulan Arrested

Ms. Mu Shulan was arrested by Zhanggezhuang Town Police Station officers on April 20, 2026. The police ransacked her home and confiscated over 3,700 yuan in cash. Ms. Mu was released on bail in the evening.

Ms. Mu received a harassing call on May 11, 2026, demanding that she go to the police station the next day. It’s unclear whether she went.

9. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Yu’e and Ms. Liu Juhua Detained

Ms. Zhang Yu’e was arrested on March 20, 2026, and has been detained. She was placed under formal arrest on April 25, 2026.

Ms. Liu Juhua, 79, a retired senior teacher, was arrested on August 25, 2025. She was tried by the Wuxue City Court on February 10, 2026, and sentenced to two years in prison on April 20, 2026. She is experiencing failing health and unable to care for herself while held in the detention center, yet the authorities have still refused to release her on medical parole.

10. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Wei Tongmian Detained for Ten Months and Counting

Mr. Wei Tongmian was arrested around July 2025. He has been detained since, and the authorities have kept his family in the dark regarding his current status.

11. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liao Yuanhua Detained

Mr. Liao Yuanhua, around 70, was arrested on the evening of April 8, 2026. He has since been detained at the Wuxue Detention Center. The police haven’t issued any formal documents regarding his arrest or detention.

12. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Bingfang Detained

Ms. Liu Bingfang was arrested on April 9, 2026. Her arrest was approved and she is currently being held in the Dongying City Detention Center.

13. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Shunming and Ms. He Pinqin Under Residential Surveillance

Mr. Liu Shunming and Ms. He Pinqin have been placed under residential surveillance since April 22, 2026.
