(Minghui.org) Practitioners gathered at Pegasus Plaza in Dallas on the morning of April 23, 2026, to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the April 25 appeal. They demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, displayed banners, and distributed flyers. Many people said they appreciated their efforts and perseverance all these years and encouraged them to keep it up.

On April 25, 1999, approximately ten thousand Falun Dafa practitioners petitioned the State Council Office of Letters and Calls in Beijing. They stood quietly and peacefully near the office, and requested the release of the Falun Dafa practitioners who had recently been arrested by police in Tianjin. They also asked for a legal environment to practice Falun Dafa. The whole process was peaceful—no slogans were shouted, and passersby and traffic were not disturbed. When the issue was resolved, the practitioners left quietly. Falun Dafa practitioners around the world commemorate the event every year.

Pegasus Plaza is located on Main Street in the Dallas city center. Situated adjacent to the US AT&T headquarters, it’s a popular destination for office workers heading out for a meal or meeting with friends.

People Encourage Practitioners

Two men walked out of the AT&T building, saw the banner about how Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted in China, and talked with the practitioners. One said that he previously heard how the Chinese Communist Party persecutes Falun Dafa. He explained that because he’s from Cuba, he deeply understood the evil nature of communism, and he loathed it. He told his colleague, “Looking at the bad things that this CCP has done, I’ve been saying [to you], I don’t mean that the people in China are bad, but the Party is not good. You cannot believe anything it says!” His colleague kept nodding his head. They both complimented practitioners for telling people about the persecution, because many people still do not know how dangerous the CCP is. Both men said they hope the practitioners keep up the good work.

A lady passed by the practitioners’ banners and saw the information about the persecution. She said, “I am very sad. I will pray for them.”

One man took many copies of Falun Dafa informational materials, and read the contents on the banners in detail. He expressed his grief and indignation, saying, “I want to help. Please tell me what I can do.” A practitioner said that many people still do not know about this persecution, so he can help by telling others what he saw today. He can also contact his local government representatives and tell them about it. The man said he wanted to do more, to help stop the persecution.

After hearing what a practitioner said, another man handed his card to the practitioner and invited practitioners to an event that his company planned to hold. That way practitioners could tell even more people about the persecution.

I Like Falun Dafa and I Also Want to Practice

Shueda, an office worker who was on her lunch break, noticed the display boards about the Falun Dafa exercises. She received a flyer, immediately read it, and said this was the first time she had seen and heard about Falun Dafa, but it felt as though she was drawn to it. She told a practitioner that this may be what she had been looking for. She thanked practitioners for being there.

Timothy and Gabby work for a non-profit organization. They had come to the Dallas city center for their work, and talked with practitioners. After they learned that the CCP is persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners, and even harvesting their organs, they were shocked, and immediately signed the petition to help stop the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting.

After learning about Falun Dafa and the benefits of practicing, they said that they frequently discuss the meaning of life, the relationship between the spiritual and the material world, etc. They were happy to talk with practitioners and planned to find out more about Falun Dafa. Timothy later returned and took a group photo with the practitioners.
