(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Changzheng’s Trial Scheduled

Mr. Wang Changzheng was scheduled to appear in the Hanyang District Court on April 24, 2026.

2. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Di Jianchao’s Trial Scheduled

Mr. Di Jianchao was scheduled to stand trial at the Wuhua District Court on April 24, 2026.

3. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Wang Ping, Liu Fengxia, and two other practitioners were arrested on April 21, 2026, by officers from the Fengtai Police Station. Wang and Liu are being held in the police station. The other two were released.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Fan Wenya Arrested

Fan Wenya, gender unknown, was arrested on April 20, 2026, by the Hulan Police Station officers. They accused Fan of mailing letters containing information about Falun Gong.

5. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Li Shixia Arrested

Ms. Li Shixia was arrested at home on April 14, 2026, for distributing Falun Gong flyers two days ago. Her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced

Ms. Li Yufang, Ms. Cui Xiuju, and Ms. Luan Yanping were arrested in a street market on July 17, 2025. They were tried by the Longkou City Court on January 23, 2026, and convicted on March 13. Ms. Cui and Ms. Luan were both sentenced to three years and nine months in prison and fined 20,000 yuan. Ms. Li was given two years and six months and fined 10,000 yuan. All three practitioners have appealed with the Yantai City Intermediate Court. Yantai oversees Longkou City.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yan Jingqiu Detained

Ms. Yan Jingqiu was arrested on March 14, 2026 by officers from the Jinhulu Police Station. She has been held in the Qingdao City Second Detention Center since.

Ms. Yan’s daughter and sister, and another local practitioner went to the police station to demand her release on April 15. The police threatened to keep her detained, unless she wrote a statement to renounce Falun Gong.

8. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] 94-Year-Old Mr. Xu Shujun Taken Into Custody

Mr. Xu Shujun, 94, was admitted to Jixi City Prison on April 23, 2026, to serve a three-year term given in 2021, even though he has become bedridden and incontinent.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Zhenpu’s Home Ransacked

Mr. Li Zhenpu’s home was ransacked on April 22, 2026, by the Guxian Town Police Station officers.

10. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yi Shufen, 68, and Ms. Chen, first name unknown, were arrested in Shiqiaozi Morning Market on April 8, 2026, by the Nanshan Police Station officers. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Yi is being held in the Jinzhou City Women’s Detention Center.

The police staked out Ms. Yi’s home after the raid and arrested Ms. Zhu Lihua, 76, when she came to visit Ms. Yi. They also ransacked Ms. Zhu’s home, seized her computers, cell phones, and other items. She was released later that day.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Qiang Developed Uremia in Prison

Ms. Xu Qiang, in her late 60s, is serving nine years and one month at the 12th Division at the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison. According to her family who recently visited her, she was severely abused in the prison and has developed uremia. Her physical condition is very poor.

12. [Xixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Shulan Released

Ms. Mu Shulan was arrested on April 20, 2026, by Zhanggezhuang Town Police Station officers, when she was talking to the shoppers at the Zhanggezhuang Street Market about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released later that day.

13. [Kaili City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhang Arrested

Ms. Zhang, first name unknown, was arrested in mid-April 2026, by the Chengxi Police Station officers, when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released the same day.

14. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yuping Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuping was arrested by the Yuelong Town Police Station officers, when she was talking to shoppers in the Yulong Town Street Market about the persecution of Falun Gong in April 2026. The police ransacked her home, and confiscated her Falun Gong books and exercise music players. They collected her fingerprints before releasing her in the evening.
