(Minghui.org) There are individuals in China who continue to collect funds under the pretense of sending donations to Master’s wife. In one instance, a woman in Chengdu City claimed to be a practitioner and retiree from Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. She said she knew someone who was part of an overseas Falun Dafa Association and had returned to China and that she had donated over two million yuan through this person (possibly referring to the total amount she handled, including money from other practitioners). Claiming the money had been given to Master’s wife, she continues to raise funds and has already impacted some practitioners in Chengdu City.
Similar frauds have been perpetrated in other regions and countries. There have been more than a few cases of practitioners being swindled over the years, including those who proactively offered to make donations. Here we would like to remind practitioners again through the platform of Minghui:
- Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents inside and outside China are waging economic warfare as a key component of its strategy of unrestricted warfare. They aim to strip their targets of every penny (“bankrupting them financially”).- With the decline in China’s economy since 2019, the number of scammers has increased. Some of them could be taking advantage of practitioners’ kindness and trust to obtain money by deception, with some especially targeting older women.
Any attachment or gap a practitioner has could be seized upon by malicious people to take advantage of them and targeted by evil beings to destroy them.
In this chaotic, morally degenerate world, Master wrote in the article “Towards Consummation” in The Essentials of Diligent Progress II back in June 2000,
“Do you know that one of the biggest excuses the evil old forces use at present to persecute Dafa is that your fundamental attachments remain concealed? So in order to identify such people, the ordeals have been made more severe.”
“Additionally, they manipulate wicked human beings into examining Dafa and its disciples, putting them through a comprehensive and destructive test that targets all human thoughts and attachments. Had you truly been able to discard those fundamental human attachments as you cultivated, this final ordeal would not be so vicious.”
For every Falun Dafa practitioner who wants to genuinely cultivate, we suggest memorizing Master’s article to guide and remind ourselves to stay true to our path and be rational and clearheaded when confronted with scams and temptations.
