(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiao Shengtang Facing Trial
2. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Zhiping Indicted
3. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Shenghui Harassed
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liang Shuzhi Arrested
5. [Gejiu City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Shang Qin and Ms. Dai Jinlan Arrested
6. [Chongqing] Mr. Ran Xinglong Sentenced to Four and a Half Years in Prison
7. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiu Xiaoxue and Ms. Bian Dongna Detained
1. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiao Shengtang Facing Trial
Ms. Xiao Shengtang, 75, was indicted by the Macheng City Procuratorate on April 14, 2026. She was scheduled to stand trial at the Macheng City Court on May 28, 2026.
2. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Zhiping Indicted
Ms. Guo Zhiping was indicted by the Gaoyang County Procuratorate on May 2, 2026. She is now facing trial by the Gaoyang County Court.
3. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Guo Shenghui Harassed
Mr. Guo Shenghui was harassed at home by two officers from the Shahe Town Police Station on the evening of May 26, 2026. They took photos of him.
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liang Shuzhi Arrested
Ms. Liang Shuzhi, 89, was sentenced to three years on March 27, 2023. Despite the fact that she was denied admission by the detention center due to her poor health, the police never stopped trying to jail her. She was seized at home on May 13, 2026, and is currently held at a local hospital.
5. [Gejiu City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Shang Qin and Ms. Dai Jinlan Arrested
Ms. Shang Qin, 71, and Ms. Dai Jinlan, 72, were arrested at the Jinbandeng Flower Market in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture on May 12, 2026.
Ms. Dai’s home was ransacked shortly after her arrest. Over 100 Falun Gong books and informational materials about Falun Gong were confiscated. She was released on bail the next day.
Ms. Shang’s home was ransacked on May 13, 2026. Some Falun Gong books and informational materials about Falun Gong were confiscated. She is likely being detained at a facility in Caoba Town.
6. [Chongqing] Mr. Ran Xinglong Sentenced to Four and a Half Years in Prison
Mr. Ran Xinglong was arrested in Shanghai on April 25, 2025, by officers from She County, Anhui Province. He was sentenced to four and a half years in prison by the Xiuning County Court in Anhui on April 24, 2026. He has appealed the verdict.
7. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiu Xiaoxue and Ms. Bian Dongna Detained
Ms. Xiu Xiaoxue and Ms. Bian Dongna were arrested at the Hongqi Market in Bayuquan District on May 15, 2026. Their homes were ransacked. They are currently detained at the Yingkou City Detention Center and have been issued formal arrest warrants. The police have submitted their case to the local procuratorate.
