(Minghui.org) Winchester Town Day was held on June 6, 2026. The popular event features musical performances and family activities that attract many participants, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere in the center of the town. Over 100 stalls lined both sides of the main street, offering handicrafts and food. Charitable organizations, local businesses, and community groups participated in the festival. Practitioners set up a booth and demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises. Many people talked with practitioners and learned about the persecution, and some Chinese withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

A Chinese woman brought her granddaughter to the stall. When a practitioner was about to tell her about Falun Dafa, she said, “I know all about you. I often watch NTD TV. You’ve done a great job!”

A young woman greeted practitioners and said she had received lotus flowers with the words: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” at the event last year, and that the flower was still hanging in her car. The practitioner gave her a flyer about Falun Dafa so she could learn the benefits of the practice. The practitioner said that nowadays many people experience pressure from work and life, and practicing Falun Dafa can help them relax. She was interested and said she would look into the practice.

A Chinese woman came to the stall with her daughter. A practitioner told her how the CCP persecuted Falun Dafa for years and destroyed China’s 5,000-year-old culture. The woman said she came to the US when her daughter was in grade three. Now her daughter is in high school, but the girl joined the CCP’s Young Pioneers when she attended school in China. The practitioner explained the importance of quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations and helped the daughter and her friend withdraw from it.

A young Chinese man came to the stall and took a flyer, talked to a practitioner, and learned how the CCP persecuted practitioners in China. An elderly Chinese woman came to the stall with her niece. The woman took a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party and said she would read it.

Many young people and children, both Chinese and Westerners, accepted the lotus flower bookmarks with the words “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” that practitioners were distributing. After practitioners explained the significance of the lotus flower, they read aloud the words: “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” which are on the bookmarks.
