(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Wang Xingxiang, in her 70s, was arrested on August 28, 2025, and released on bail later that day. She was summoned to the Dehui City Procuratorate in early June 2026. She went, and was arrested upon arrival. She has been detained since.
Ms. Li Qingyun and her husband, Mr. Li Yaguang, in their 70s, were arrested while putting up Falun Gong posters on June 12, 2026. Their home was ransacked.
Ms. Wang Xiurong, 82, was approached by agents from the Shijingshan District Police Department and Shijingshan District Procuratorate in May 2026. They ordered her to sign statements, promising not to distribute informational materials about Falun Gong. She refused to comply.
Ms. Qu Shurong was arrested on June 11, 2026.
Ms. Gao Jinhua was arrested on June 12, 2026. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Ding Zhongju was harassed at home by Dongjiang Police Station officers on June 10, 2026. They ordered her to sign some papers. She refused to comply, but tried to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to them.
Ms. Gao Xia was arrested at home on June 11, 2026, for mailing letters with information about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated.
Qi Xiuxian and Hao Qi were harassed on June 12, 2026, by five officers from the Jiacun Police Station. The police searched their homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books.
Ms. Ci Meilian was released in early May 2026 after serving six months.
Ms. Li Ronglan has been forced to live away from home in the past few years to avoid the persecution. During an inspection of her rental property in early June 2026, the staffers saw Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder in her room, and reported her to the police. She was forced to move again to avoid being arrested.
Ms. Wu Jiying and her husband, Mr. Wang Xingtian, have been forced to live away from home to avoid the persecution. Mr. Wang was arrested at their rental property on June 12, 2026. Ms. Wu was not home when the police came; she has been forced into displacement again to avoid being arrested.
Mr. Zhu Chengqian was arrested on March 1, 2026. His case has been submitted to the Pulandian District Procuratorate in early June.
Ms. Yin Ye and Ms. Cai Jie were harassed on June 9, 2026, by officers from the Beidaihe New District. The police confiscated one Falun Gong book and one Minghui Weekly from Ms. Ye, and nine Falun Gong books and two media players from Ms. Cai.
Ms. Li Hongxiang was arrested on August 18, 2025, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, wall posters, calendars, a media player and other personal belongings. She was detained for 14 days and released on September 1, 2025.
