(Minghui.org) “It was a wonderful experience,” was one of the comments made after people learned the Falun Dafa exercises at the Environment Festival. The event was organized by the Kadıköy Municipality on June 6-7, 2026. Many people stopped at the Falun Dafa booth, talked with practitioners, and learned the exercises.

After doing the exercises some people said they felt calm and relaxed, while others said they felt a comfortable energy.

Engineer Returns to Practice the Exercises

Ezgi Koza, who is an engineer, said that although this was the first time she’s heard about Falun Dafa, the exercises felt very familiar.

“Even though this was the first time I’ve done the Falun Dafa exercises, it felt as if my body already knew the movements,” she said. “I kept my tongue against the roof of my mouth, and it turned out that this is correct.”

She said she felt very comfortable after she did the exercises. “I felt energy. When I closed my eyes, I saw a golden light in the shape of a Srivatsa rotating. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you,” said Koza.

She returned to the practitioners’ booth the next day and did the exercises again.

Another engineer, Hakkı Özsaraç, and his wife learned the exercises. “I’m very interested in far eastern culture. When I saw this practice, I wanted to give it a try. It was very pleasant and relaxing,” he said. “My wife also participated, and she felt peaceful as well.”

Falun Dafa Exercises Help to Clear the Mind

Aside from physical sensations, some people said the Falun Dafa exercises helped remove negative thoughts and feelings.

Metin Bozkıran, a textile engineer, said that after doing the Falun Dafa exercises, it felt as if a weight was lifted off of him. (Minghui.org)

Metin Bozkıran, who works in textile engineer, said, “Before I started the exercises, my mind was very unsettled. It felt as though there was something weighing on me. However, once I began the exercises, those feelings disappeared.”

He’s seen practitioners doing the exercises before, and this year he visited the booth to find out more about Falun Dafa.

“I would be happy to have the opportunity to do these exercises again, especially the meditation,” he said, referring to the fifth Falun Dafa exercise—the sitting meditation.

Melek Orhan, a retired teacher, said that the Falun Dafa exercises made her feel refreshed and re-energized. (Minghui.org)

Retired teacher Melek Orhan was a little bit late to the group exercise teaching session, but said she had a memorable experience.

“It brought me a sense of relief and well-being. The movements themselves are quite simple, yet something happened that was deeply beneficial for the spirit,” she said.

“I felt as if I had been very tired, then slept and woke up feeling refreshed and rested. I will learn more about Falun Dafa,” said Orhan.

Young Man Searches for Falun Dafa at Festival

People of all ages learned the exercises. A young man in his thirties with an intellectual disability, who attended last year’s festival, told a Falun Dafa practitioner. “I’ve been looking for you.”

When the practitioner recognized him, he asked, “Why have you been looking for us?”

The young man replied, “I’ve been looking for Falun Dafa. I did the exercises last year and really loved them. Take me there so I can do them again.”

He brought his mother to join the group and they did the exercises. Afterward, they expressed their thanks.
