(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners’ Appeals Case Heard
Ms. Su Hong, Ms. Jia Yanfeng, Mr. Shen Jinxiang, and Mr. Yang Kui were sentenced to 4.5-9 years in prison by the Hailin City Court on February 4, 2026. They appealed with the Mudanjiang Intermediate Court, which scheduled a hearing of their appeals case for May 19, 2026.
2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Jianhua Facing Trial
Ms. Sun Jianhua was scheduled to stand trial at the Kuiwen District Court on May 28, 2026.
3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Three elderly practitioners, Ms. Yuan, Ruan, and Wang, were arrested at Ms. Yuan’s home on May 11, 2026, by over 20 plainclothes officers from Hanyang District Police Department, Hongshan District Police Department, local police station and local community. The police ransacked Ms. Yuan’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and computer. The three practitioners were detained for 10 days.
4. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhenyun Detained
Ms. Zhang Zhenyun was arrested at home by several plainclothes officers from the Xiangcheng City Police Department and Shangshui County Police Department on May 14, 2026. Her home was ransacked, and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was taken to the Xiangcheng City Lockup.
5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bian Dongna and Ms. Xiu Xiaoxue Detained
Ms. Bian Dongna and Ms. Xiu Xiaoxue were arrested by officers from the Bayuquan District Police Department on May 15, 2026. Their homes were ransacked. They are currently detained at the Yingkou City Detention Center.
6. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Cuilan Detained
Ms. Gao Cuilan, in her 50s, was arrested at home by six officers from the Lulinshan Police Station on May 9, 2026. The police ransacked her home and confiscated several Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and media players with Falun Gong exercise music. She was placed under a 10-day detention.
7. [Quzhou County, Hebei Province] Ms. Qin Jingxiang’s Lawsuit Against Social Security Center for Suspending Her Pension to Be Heard by Local Court
Ms. Qin Jingxiang, a 63-year-old retired elementary school teacher, has had her pension suspended since January 2025, after serving a 14-month term for practicing Falun Gong. She frequented the Quzhou County Social Security Center, but to no avail. She then filed a lawsuit against the social security center, and the case was scheduled to be heard by the Quzhou County Court on May 22, 2026.
8. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Guiping Detained
Ms. Zhang Guiping was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Xuanwu District Police Department on May 9, 2026. She was placed under a 15-day detention.
9. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Gao Ying Detained
Ms. Gao Ying, 60, was arrested around April 15, 2026. Her home was ransacked.
10. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhai Yanan Detained
Ms. Zhai Yanan, 70, was arrested in April 2026. She is currently held at the Hefei City Detention Center.
11. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Lanchun Detained
Ms. Liu Lanchun was arrested on April 24, 2026. She was released around May 13.
12. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Ms. Kong Shanlin Arrested
Ms. Kong Shanlin was arrested at home on May 12, 2026, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was released in the afternoon.
13. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Fangliang Arrested
Mr. Wang Fangliang, 63, was reported to the police for posting Falun Gong stickers. He was arrested on April 25, 2026. The police ransacked his rental place and confiscated his Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. They forced his employer to fire him, and also ordered his landlord to evict his family. The landlord didn’t comply.
14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Rongxin Facing Indictment
Mr. Li Rongxin was arrested on February 4, 2026. He was recently transferred from the Huanggu Detention Center to the Dadong Detention Center. His case has been submitted to the Dadong District Procuratorate.
