(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie Incarcerated
2. [Daxing’anling City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced, One Aquitted
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tian Yuhua’s Appeals Denied, Ms. Zhuang Zhijuan’s Case Returned to Procuratorate
4. [Anyue County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Chaoxun and His Wife Ms. Huang Disu Harassed
5. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
1. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie Incarcerated
Ms. Fu Wenjie was arrested on June 2, 2025. She appeared in the Linghai City Court on November 10, 2025, and was sentenced to five years and six months in prison with a 10,000-yuan fine on December 4, 2025. She appealed with the Jinzhou City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict. She has been transferred to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison.
2. [Daxing’anling City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced, One Aquitted
Jiagedaqi District Police Department officers arrested five practitioners during a police sweep on October 17, 2025. All five were sentenced on May 9, 2026. Ms. Ma Xiulan, 67, and Ms. Song Yulan, 63, were both sentenced to three years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. Ms. Li Yuying, who was sentenced to 18 months in prison and fined 10,000 yuan, is allowed to serve time at home. Ms. Yu, 82, first name unknown, was sentenced to three years with four years probation and fined 10,000 yuan Ms. Li Shufang was acquitted and released.
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tian Yuhua’s Appeals Denied, Ms. Zhuang Zhijuan’s Case Returned to Procuratorate
Ms. Tian Yuhua, 57, was sentenced to five years in prison. She appealed with the Harbin City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict on May 21, 2026.
Ms. Zhang Zhijuan, 60s, was tried in early February 2026 by the Daoli District Court. The judge returned her case to the Daoli District Procuratorate in May 2026, citing insufficient evidence.
4. [Anyue County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Chaoxun and His Wife Ms. Huang Disu Harassed
Mr. Tang Chaoxun, in his 80s, and his wife, Mr. Huang Disu, in her 70s, were harassed in February 2026. Eight officers with the Anyue County Domestic Security Division and local police ransacked their home as well as their two residences and the home of their eldest daughter, who does not practice Falun Gong.
5. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Li Mengxiang and Ms. Zhu, first name unknown, were arrested on March 24, 2026. Ms. Zhu was released the same day but has been under surveillance ever since. Ms. Li was admitted to the Hong’an County Detention Center. When her family went to visit her, they were told she wasn’t there. They later learned that she had been transferred to a brainwashing center in Macheng City. She was released at the end of April.
Ms. Yu Guifang was arrested on May 8, 2026, after someone on the Xiaojiawan Village Committee reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained for 10 days in the Hong’an County Detention Center and released on May 19.
