(Minghui.org) The Falun Dafa Day celebration reminds me of some experiences that I’d like to share with you.
“Falun Dafa Brings Blessings”
I saw Li, who is a cook, when I visited the township government. He said, “Do you still practice Falun Dafa?”
“Yes,” I replied without hesitation.
“That’s what I thought,” he replied. “During lunch the other day, everyone said the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) harmed so many innocent people. For example, those landlords didn’t do anything wrong, but they were targeted for decades.”
As we chatted, Li said the former police station director recently asked him to say hello to me. “When former CCP leader Jiang Zemin ordered the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999, the director arrested more than 30 practitioners and kept them at the township building for two weeks. We all knew they were good people,” Li continued.
“The village officials also said Falun Dafa brings blessings,” he added. “There was an old single-story building in the township government. Strange noises could be heard inside and near the building every night, so people were afraid to stay there unless there was a big crowd. The strange noises stopped while Falun Dafa practitioners were there.”
After this experience, the township head and the Party Secretary knew that Dafa is righteous. Li said, “These two officials said if practitioners continue practicing Falun Dafa, we won’t bother them.”
The Domestic Security Chief
About 10 years ago, a new chief was appointed to the county's Domestic Security Division. I went to his office to tell him about Falun Dafa. After I entered, he signaled to me that there was a surveillance camera, and he led me outside. Once we stepped out of the building, we discussed many topics.
“Is there surveillance here?” I asked.
“No, some county Domestic Security Divisions have cameras outside their buildings, but we don’t,” he said. “If it changes, I’ll let you know.”
As we talked, a practitioner phoned me and said that more than 10 practitioners were arrested when they were talking to people at a farmers market about Falun Dafa. Two vehicles were also confiscated. I asked the chief why practitioners were still being arrested.
He told me to request that the vehicles be released while he worked on releasing the detained practitioners. “When you ask for the vehicles, never pay money; otherwise, you won’t get it back,” he said, adding this is how police stations generate revenue.”
Before I left, he told me, “If practitioners are arrested again—no matter which police station is involved- call me if they aren’t released by 10 p.m.”
I immediately rode my bike to that police station. Another practitioner contacted the captain of the criminal investigation department, and we arrived there together. About seven or eight police officers were there, including a director. When I asked him why he arrested practitioners, he said someone called the police.
“You know Falun Dafa teaches people to become better citizens by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This is good for society.
I explained that because practitioners benefited from practicing Falun Dafa, they wanted to share the information. “Doing a good deed should not be considered a crime,” I said.
I explained to them that Falun Dafa teaches people to be good, and asked if any of them had read Dafa books. But the police station director did not soften.
I turned to the criminal investigation department captain and said, “You arrest criminals. Are any of them Falun Dafa practitioners?”
“No. Dafa practitioners do not commit crimes,” he replied.
“The two tricycles confiscated are important to the villagers. How about you return them?” the captain asked the police station director.
“Someone needs to pay 1,000 yuan,” replied the director.
I said it made no sense to pay money since the practitioners did not do anything wrong. The criminal investigation department captain pulled me to the side and said he would help get the tricycles.
Two days later, the captain told me the vehicles were returned. I thanked him and said he would be blessed because he did a good deed. Three months later, he called me and said he had just been promoted.
Telling People Facts
After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published in 2004, we distributed copies to villagers along with other materials. When they learned how the CCP abused and killed innocent people in its political campaigns, and now the regime is targeting Falun Dafa, many villagers chose to renounce their memberships in the CCP, including the Youth League and Young Pioneers.
We have a local farmers' market, and when practitioners distribute materials and tell people about Falun Dafa, the results are good, and the police do not bother us. One time, a person in a luxury car told a practitioner, “How dare you give me this? Do you know who I am?”
The practitioner calmly replied, “I don’t know. But everyone knows good is rewarded and bad deeds are punished. Everyone wants to be safe and have a good life.”
The person did not say anything else and drove off.
Some people said they needed time to think before withdrawing from the CCP organizations. But they understood practitioners did this out of kindness, so they would not report them to the police.
A Television Interview
A television station was shooting news footage at the farmers' market before the Chinese New Year. When she noticed an elderly villager walk by, the reporter asked, “Ma’am, you look so healthy and energetic. Any tips for us young people to keep fit?”
The villager replied. “Practicing Falun Dafa improved my mind and body. Please keep in mind, ‘Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and you’ll be blessed.”
The crew stopped filming and walked away. When the practitioner asked the reporter why, the reporter said, “We all know Falun Dafa is good. But if we continue, this interview will not be shown on television.”
