(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Fu Xiumin was arrested on March 18, 2026, while talking to people about Falun Gong. She has since been held at Yaojia Detention Center.
Mr. Huang Min, in his 50s, was arrested at work on June 23, 2026. He was placed under criminal detention at Binhai New Area Detention Center.
Ms. Yang Xiaolan, 73, was arrested by Dongkou County Police Department officers on June 12, 2026, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on the street. She is currently held at the Shaoyang City Detention Center.
Mr. Liu Dianjun, in his 70s, went with his wife to Caojia Village Farmers Market on the morning of April 10, 2026. While talking to people about Falun Gong, three plainclothes officers pushed him and pressed him against the ground, causing a cut on his face about two centimeters long and a total of six abrasions on his fingers and wrists. They then handcuffed him, with one arm pulled over his shoulder and the other up from behind.
Both Mr. Liu and his wife were taken to the Wenquan Police Station for interrogation. The police also searched their backpacks and found some Falun Gong informational materials. Without a search warrant, they ransacked their home and confiscated all of their Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.
Mr. Liu and his wife were released around 11 p.m.
More than ten officers from the Nanchang County Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, and Liantang Police Station, as well as property management staffers, broke into Ms. Wan Jianling’s home and ransacked the place on June 26, 2026. They combed through her closet, bed, and the space under her bed.
Ms. Zhou Lili was arrested by Shangyecheng Police Station officers after being reported for distributing Falun Gong materials.
Mr. Du Xianguo was arrested on June 17, 2026, while working at a construction site. The police also arrested his wife, Ms. He Hongmei ransacked their home, confiscating photos of the founder of Falun Gong, all Falun Gong books, and an exercise music player.
Mr. Du and his wife are both over 70 years old. Ms. He was released later that day, but Mr. Du has since remained in custody. His family has not been allowed to visit him.
In addition, Ms. Sun Liqin and Ms. Wang Keye were also arrested and taken to a police department for interrogation.
Ms. Zhang Hui was arrested in February 2026. She is now facing a prison sentence.
Ms. Gao Ying was sentenced to four and a half years in prison in mid-January 2025. She is being held at the Eighth Division of Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison.
Ms. Miao Guijun was arrested in early June 2025 and sentenced to thirteen months in prison. She is currently held in the Third Division of Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison.
Ms. Zhang Yafen was arrested around July 24, 2024, and is being held at the Third Division of Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison. The length of her sentence is unknown.
Ms. Chen Shuqin, a former attending physician in the Department of Internal Medicine at Longde County Hospital, was arrested in late June 2026. She is currently held at the Yinchuan City Detention Center.
Several practitioners in Guyi District were arrested, and their homes were ransacked between June 9 and 11, 2026. Mr. Ma Yingjie, Ms. Miao Yongli, Ms. Zhang Xiujuan, Ms. Zhang Shufen, Ms. Jiang Yufeng, Ms. Wang Shouhua, and Ms. Wang Chunfang are being held at Tangshan City First Detention Center. Mr. Ma and Ms. Zhang Xiujuan’s lawyers have visited their clients.
Mr. Ma’s wife, Ms. Wang Xiuyun, continues to be harassed by Tangjiazhuang Police Station after she was released.
Ms. Li Qiulan was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. Officers from Dakoutun Town Police Station broke into her home on June 25, 2026, and took her to Baodi Public Security Investigation Center for interrogation. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Zhou Enbo was released from prison in April 2026 after serving a four-year term.
Ms. Xu Qingfang was released on June 11, 2026, after serving a sentence of four years and six months.
