(Minghui.org) Shen Yun wowed a sold-out audience at the Four Seasons Centre in Toronto on June 28, capping a five-show run that was scheduled after China-linked interference caused shows to be canceled there earlier this year.
The Toronto performances concluded Shen Yun’s 2026 world tour, which presented nearly 740 performances in 172 cities and 20 countries across five continents.

“Just Fantastic”
Garry Clement, former national director of the RCMP’s Proceeds of Crime program, saw Shen Yun in Toronto with family on June 28. He said he enjoyed seeing pre-communist China’s rich culture through Shen Yun.
“What it really depicts for me is... that this can’t be seen in China, and just how valuable the Falun Gong is,” he said.
Mr. Clement, who has extensively investigated the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) illegal interference in Canada, said it’s fantastic that Shen Yun can be performed in free countries like Canada. He hopes this sends a message to the CCP in terms its campaign of transnational repression.
He said the CCP is a “master of disguise” and that Beijing has infiltrated Canada and the United States, adding that Shen Yun can help counter the regime’s meddling.
“We need events like this to really put across the true messaging,” he said.
Mr. Clement also praised the performers’ artistic ability. “The athleticism, the grace, and what they’re able to put across, I think, is just fantastic,” he said.
He said he wishes more of his law enforcement colleagues would come see Shen Yun. “I’ve said for a long time: the biggest problem, I think, with law enforcement in this country [is that] a lot of police officers do not understand the Chinese culture.
“If you don’t understand it, you can’t work in it, and I think it’s events like this, appreciating this, really helps you have a better understanding and become a better police officer,” Mr. Clement concluded.
“A Shared Journey of All of Humanity”
Human rights activist Mike Mol saw Shen Yun with friends on June 26.
“It was not only the music or dance; the key was that the messages from the stage and backdrop were eye-opening to me. Our entire humanity is currently going through a very difficult time, or call it a dark time,” he said.
“The clues that seemed scattered before are all coming together. Everything that is happening in the world is to help every person who truly possesses a life and soul to wake up from a world of bewilderment and find their true selves.
“I found the answer to the true meaning of life tonight from the Shen Yun performance. This kind of experience cannot be described in words, unless you experience it yourself. After you experience it, you would understand what I said. I firmly believe that every one of us awakened beings with a soul is stepping towards a beautiful place.
“Everything presented by Falun Dafa and Shen Yun Performing Arts tells us the origin, path, and future of life. It is not a journey of individuals, but a shared journey of all of humanity,” Mr. Mol said.
“I’m Almost Overjoyed”

Brian Crombie, principal of Crombie Capital Partners, saw Shen Yun on June 27. This was his second time seeing Shen Yun.
He spoke about Shen Yun’s return after having experienced hoax bomb threats and transnational repression. “I’m almost overjoyed. I think the best way to oppose injustice is keep going and let everyone see how Shen Yun can attract so many audience members to support this cultural feast. Nothing else can better demonstrate the resilience, perseverance, and support from everywhere. Facing suppression, we will only stand up again and again.”
“It Gives You Positive Feelings About Things”
James O’Grady (The Epoch Times)
James O’Grady, president of Canadian company Unpublished Media, traveled from Ottawa to see Shen Yun on June 27. His company runs a website that covers current affairs and politics.
“It was great. I really enjoyed it,” Mr. O’Grady said. This was his second time seeing Shen Yun.
“I’ve always enjoyed cultural dance and cultural shows, and Chinese dance and music is quite beautiful... [The dancers] are quite skilled,” he said.
Mr. O’Grady found Shen Yun’s message of traditional Chinese culture to be uplifting. “It gives you positive feelings about things. It’s a difficult time right now for a lot of people. So coming to an event like this is like giving you a shot in the arm.
“China, as one of the oldest nations in the world, has a tremendous cultural history for all of its regions, not just one. I’ve never believed in one China. For me, it’s not one China or two Chinas—there are many Chinas.
“I’ve actually spent a lot of time in my life studying different religions or spiritual approaches. So it wasn’t completely different from what I’ve seen before. I enjoyed it.
“I really like the technology part of it, with the characters coming in and out of the back screen. I’ve never seen that before,” Mr. O’Grady commented. “That was really neat and helps bring [the story] to life.”
He remarked about how happy he was to see Shen Yun in June after it was canceled in March. “I hope to see it again next year. I hope they’re back, and I hope they continue. I hope that people will come out and support it, and not let the [CCP’s] shenanigans get in the way.”
Referring to the fake bomb threat before the March show, Mr. O’Grady said, “We should never let that succeed. It’s pretty childish, and you can see the kind of harm that it can create. So we should never be silent on things like this. This is the time to speak up.”
“Very Emotionally Evoking”

Chinese couple Luo Yu and Wang Jingjing saw Shen Yun on June 27.
“Very stunning, especially the moment the curtain opened at the beginning. That shock from traditional Chinese culture made me a bit emotional. It felt familiar. It was very emotionally evoking to see this kind of pure, original traditional culture of China on the other side of the ocean,” Mr. Luo said.
Ms. Wang shared her inspirations from the performance, “People must have honesty and kindness. Only when you believe in the divine, will you have a heart of respect and reverence, be able to do things in this world, and not just do whatever you want.”
They both shared that they hope Shen Yun can perform in China one day. “Very much hope Shen Yun will return to China soon. This will also mean that China can embrace true freedom,” Mr. Luo said.
“Absolutely a Lavish Feast”
Professor Zhang (The Epoch Times)
Professor Zhang, former dean of a renowned art research institute at a college in China, saw Shen Yun on June 28.
“Shen Yun was extremely beautiful with profound Chinese cultural depth,” she said.
“From an artistic perspective, Shen Yun is highly artistic, whether it is the dancing, colors, lighting, styling, etc. It gives people an artistic enjoyment visually, auditorily, and sensory-wise. It is absolutely a lavish feast,” she said.
She originally planned to see Shen Yun in April. The fact that the performances were canceled due to hoax bomb threats had a strong impact on her. She did not understand why an artistic performance could face such significant pressure. With these questions in mind, she started learning about Falun Gong and reading Falun Gong’s books.
Professor Zhang believed that Shen Yun helps Chinese people find the “roots and veins” of Chinese culture.
“I believe that Shen Yun is being helped by higher beings. They are radiating across the entire venue from a high place. I hope our lives also receive the help from higher beings,” she said.
