(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Three practitioners were convicted by the Liaoyuan City Court on June 18, 2026. Mr. Liu Xiaohui was sentenced to nine years in prison and fined 30,000 yuan. Ms. Bai Yun received seven years with an unknown court fine, and Ms. Liu Shuhua was given three years with three years of probation and a 5,000-yuan fine.
Ms. Ma Bing, in her 30s, was arrested in February 2026, for having Falun Gong books at home. She has been detained since, and was scheduled to appear in the Dong’e County Court on June 30, 2026.
Ms. Song Ailing and Ms. Liu Xue were arrested on June 23, 2026, and their homes were ransacked.
Ms. Yan Hongzhuan was arrested by Gongbei Police Station officers on July 16, 2025, and has since been detained in the Zhuhai City First Detention Center. She was tried by the Xiangzhou District Court on April 8, 2026, and is now awaiting the verdict.
Mr. Zhang Shiliang, in his 70s, received a call from two staffers from his previous employer on May 28, 2026, asking him to come downstairs. They attempted to take photos of him, but he didn’t let them.
Mr. Xu Fuba was also harassed on May 28, 2026, and forcibly photographed.
Ms. Yuan Qunzhi was harassed by local village officials on June 15, 2026. They took photos of her and her husband.
Ms. Cai Weili, in her 70s, was harassed at home by local community staff members on June 16, 2026. She stopped them when they were about to take a photo of her.
Ms. Li Juping was harassed at home by the local police on June 23, 2026. An officer surnamed Huang demanded to take a photo of her. She refused to comply.
Ms. Chen Tianxiang was arrested at home on March 20, 2026, by three officers from the Lyuyuan District Police Department. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, computer, cell phone, and MP3 audio player. She was taken to a local lockup, but was denied admission due to her health condition. She was then returned to the police station and restrained in a chair overnight. The police managed to convince the lockup to admit her the next day. She was detained for 13 days and released on April 3.
