In his statement to Minghui.org, U.S. Senator Todd Young wrote, “America was founded on the principle that every person is endowed with inherent dignity and the freedom to live according to their conscience. Those values, including religious liberty, human rights, and the rule of law, have guided my work in the Senate, including my support for the Falun Gong Protection Act and efforts to hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for its human rights abuses.
“Congress must continue exposing and sanctioning those responsible for the CCP’s human rights abuses, strengthen protections for those targeted by the Chinese Communist Party, and ensure the CCP cannot intimidate people exercising their freedoms here in the United States. At stake are core American values, including free speech, religious liberty, and the principle that no foreign authoritarian regime should be allowed to undermine our constitutional freedoms on American soil.”

U.S. Congressman Pat Ryan wrote in his statement, “I risked my life in combat to protect fundamental American freedoms – that absolutely includes the freedom to practice your religion without fear of persecution. As we celebrate 250 years of this country, we also recommit to protecting the freedoms that our founding fathers envisioned. I’m proud to cosponsor the Falun Gong Protection Act and stand with practitioners against CCP persecution today and every day.”
