(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Wuhu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Tongxiang Sentenced to Two Years in Prison
2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Yingjie Formally Arrested
4. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ding Suzhen Arrested
5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xiaofeng Fleeing Persecution
6. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Jia Zhongwei Detained
7. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhenyun Detained
8. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Guicun and Ms. Chen Ji’e Harassed
9. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Fengxian and Ms. Liu Qiaolian Arrested
10. [Dancheng County, Henan Province] Ms. Guo Xiulan Arrested
11. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ren Fenglan Harassed

1. [Wuhu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Tongxiang Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

Ms. Zhang Tongxiang was arrested in August 2025. She was held in the Wuhu City Detention Center for almost a year before she was sentenced to two years in prison. She is now serving time at the Changfeng Prison in Hefei City.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yuan Xuelan, Ms. Wang Aige, Ms. Zhou Fenglian, and another practitioner whose name is unknown, in their 70s, were arrested at their respective homes on July 9, 2026, by officers from the Changjiang Road Police Station. Ms. Yuan and Ms. Wang were released the next day. Ms. Zhou is still being held at the Qingdao City Detention Center. The fourth practitioner’s situation is unknown.

3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Yingjie Formally Arrested

Mr. Ma Yingjie was arrested at home on June 9, 2026, by officers from the Guye District Police Department and local police station. He has been held at the Tangshan City First Detention Center since. A formally arrest warrant has been issued.

4. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ding Suzhen Arrested

Ms. Ding Suzhen, 71, was arrested in early July 2026, while she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xiaofeng Fleeing Persecution

Ms. Wang Xiaofeng, 70, was approached by the police while visiting her elder sister in the hospital in July 2026. She escaped, but has been forced to live away from home to hide from the police since.

6. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Jia Zhongwei Detained

Mr. Jia Zhongwei was arrested on July 21, 2026, by officers from the Wei County Domestic Security Division and the Chengzhen Police Station. They ransacked his home, and seized his Falun Gong books, printers, computer, tablet, and cell phone. His bedridden mother, in her 80s, was also harassed on the same day. He was placed under criminal detention the next day. The police returned to his home two more times for searches.

7. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhenyun Detained

Ms. Zhang Zhenyun was arrested at home on May 14, 2026, by eight officers from the Xiangcheng Domestic Security Division. She was first held at the Xiangcheng City Lockup and then transferred to the Zhoukou City Detention Center on May 29, where she remains.

8. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Guicun and Ms. Chen Ji’e Harassed

Mr. Chen Guicun and his wife, Ms. Chen Ji’e, were harassed at home on July 2, 2026. The village secretary and two police officers threatened that their children wouldn’t be allowed to attend college if they didn’t write statements to renounce Falun Gong.

9. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Fengxian and Ms. Liu Qiaolian Arrested

Ms. Dong Fengxian was arrested on July 21, 2026, by officers from the Guan County Domestic Security Division. They claimed she was recorded by a surveillance camera mailing letters with information about Falun Gong. They ransacked her place, and seized her Falun Gong books, printouts, and other items. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Liu Qiaolian was also arrested in July 2026 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

10. [Dancheng County, Henan Province] Ms. Guo Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Guo Xiulan, 82, was arrested in her apartment on June 26, 2026, by nine officers from the Dancheng County Justice Bureau. They seized her Falun Gong books, players, and other items. She was released in the afternoon. They also attempted to evict from her apartment.

11. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ren Fenglan Harassed

Ms. Ren Fenglan, around 70, was harassed at home on July 15, 2026, after someone reported her for distributing Falun Gong printouts. A community officer and two officers from the Changzheng Street Police Station ransacked her place, and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun, a player, and a memory card. They tried to force her to write statements to renounce Falun Gong. She refused to comply.
