(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to participate in the Beach Fest 2026 parade on August 9, 2026, at Skegness, a seaside town in Lincolnshire. People applauded their energetic waist drum performance, synchronized music, and beautiful costumes. Approximately 50 groups participated in the parade, and the Falun Dafa contingent was awarded second prize. Many people, after hearing how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Dafa, signed petitions to help end the brutality.

Community Celebration

As one of England’s oldest seaside resort towns, Skegness is known for its golden beaches, various amusement parks, and entertainment for all ages.

The theme of this year’s carnival parade was “Lincolnshire,” and showcased local history, coastal charm, and the area’s rural character. The parade included a variety of floats, creative costumes, and dance and musical performances. The event also included markets, stalls, live entertainment, and fun competitions.

Falun Dafa practitioners were again invited to the event this year, and they were welcomed by staff members. People applauded every time the drum team finished playing, and some onlookers said they really liked their traditional costumes.

Many people were interested in learning more about Falun Dafa. When practitioners gave them flyers, some pressed their palms together to show their appreciation.

Practitioners Win Second Prize

Mayor Daniel Kirk and staff members visited the practitioners before the parade started. They also took group photos with practitioners and accepted information about Falun Dafa.

After the parade concluded, some spectators thanked the practitioners for participating. One man rushed out of a store and told practitioners that he especially liked their performance.

Stopping the Persecution

People came to the Falun Dafa booth, talked with practitioners, and asked questions about the practice. After hearing that the CCP’s suppression has gone on for more than two decades, some signed petitions to support practitioners.

It was a hot day and some practitioners traveled several hours to participate in the event. They were glad to share Falun Dafa with the community and help them learn about the CCP’s suppression. “It was well worth the trip,” one practitioner said.
