(Minghui.org) Practitioners were invited to participate in the annual Festival of Globe (FOG) India Day Parade and Fair in Fremont, California, which celebrates India’s Independence Day with cultural floats, performances, and community groups.
The parade was held on August 16, 2026, and Falun Dafa practitioners were welcomed by the parade organizers, city councilors, and local residents.
Practitioners demonstrated the exercises, did the dragon dance, and played the waist drums. After the parade, the practitioners continued to introduce Falun Dafa to the public at their booth, and they distributed informational materials.

City Councilor: Thank You for Adding a Bright Touch to the Parade

The event was filled with a festive and cultural atmosphere. When she saw practitioners’ bright yellow clothing, Councilor Desrie Campbell exclaimed and thanked them for their participation. She said their clothes were eye-catching, and their procession looked fantastic.
She also liked Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She said that the sincerity, mindfulness, and spiritual beliefs will help us grow together in the country we live in today.
Mayor Endorses Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
Cupertino Mayor Kitty Moore also participated in the parade, and said the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance advocated by Falun Dafa are excellent, and are a value system that society needs.

She knew that Falun Dafa is being persecuted and said that local practitioners had shared their experiences at city council meetings.

Parade organizer Bhatta Charya praised the practitioners’ performance and expressed her appreciation for Falun Dafa’s guiding principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

Charya said, “I loved the Falun Dafa team’s performance! Their coordination was extremely good, and everyone was very diligent and dedicated.” She specifically mentioned that people of all ages could be seen in the Falun Dafa group. “Age is not a limitation. Everyone seemed healthy and energetic. Thank you so much for coming!” she exclaimed.
Speaking of Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Chaya said, “These are qualities that we all need to learn. Compassion, in particular, is indispensable for everyone in today’s world, and is a principle that everyone should practice.”
International Television Reporter: Falun Dafa Brings Peace of Mind and Body
Many spectators felt that the Falun Dafa group was one of the parade’s highlights.

Suguna Reddy, a reporter and presenter for TV9, an international Indian television station, said she admired the Falun Dafa practitioners’ procession. She said she covers the event every year, and that this year’s parade was impressive.
Reddy said the Falun Dafa practitioners did a fantastic job, and their waist drum performance was wonderful. She also said practicing Falun Dafa can bring people peace and tranquility. “If we practice the exercises every day, it will have many benefits for our health,” she added.
Reddy also agreed with Falun Dafa’s core values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She said these principles can greatly benefit society.
Engineer: The Cornerstones of Life
Software engineer Ranjit Samantray said the practitioners’ performances were wonderful. He also said that Falun Dafa is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and these values are the most fundamental cornerstone of life.
“These principles are very important and relevant to today’s society. They are some of the core basic principles that constitute our lives,” he said.
