(Minghui.org) My nephew was a teacher and did a decent job. A student hadn’t registered when school started, so he went to see the parents to find out why. It turned out the family couldn’t afford the tuition.

My nephew knew that, besides the tuition, they had living expenses and other school-related costs, so he suggested to the parents, “How about cutting down the trees in front of and behind your house and selling them? That should cover all the expenses for this semester. I can buy them from you if no one else will.”

Someone reported my nephew and accused him of illegal logging. My nephew was taken to a lockup and put in a cell with several Falun Dafa practitioners.

The guards verbally and physically abused the practitioners for no reason. My nephew couldn’t stand it and thought the guards were barbaric. He tried to stop them, saying, “Falun Dafa practitioners are nice people. My aunt is a practitioner, and she’s kind and considerate.”

The guards shouted at him, “You’ve got some nerve to speak up for those people. Just wait and see what we’ll do to you!”

The guards put shackles and handcuffs on him and locked him in a solitary confinement cell with no light and poor air circulation. This served to intimidate other detainees.

The guard in charge of the solitary cell was one of my nephew's former students. He was shocked to see his teacher locked up. My nephew told him what had happened and said that the people in charge threatened to sentence him to 10 years in prison.

My nephew’s wife couldn’t take it, demanded a divorce, and abandoned the family. He was worried that there was no one to care for his son and wanted to make arrangements for him. His student asked what he planned to do.

He said, “I’ll ask my aunt to look after him. She’s kind to everyone. She practices Falun Dafa and would not take advantage. I won’t worry if my son stays with her.” The student helped my nephew get permission to leave the lockup for two days so he could go home and take care of family matters.

My nephew brought his son to me, and I reassured him, “You spoke up for practitioners, so Heaven will bestow many blessings upon you. Remember to sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Ask Master Li to protect you, and he’ll help you get through difficult times.”

I gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and he finished reading it that very night. I said, “Don’t let your mind wander during the trial. Aside from answering necessary questions, just recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ ask Master for help, and the outcome will be good.” He said he would definitely do that.

After the verdict was handed down, my nephew wept as he told us, “Unbelievable! I never thought this would be the outcome. I was merely fired from my job and given a monthly living allowance of 200 yuan.”

When I asked who he thought he should thank, he exclaimed, “Thank you, Master Li! Thank you, Dafa!”

My nephew started his own business, and things went well. He bought a new home, remarried, and had another child. He now owns a very profitable company. His story spread among family and friends, and one of them said, “He wouldn’t be where he is now if he were a salaried employee!”

A thought of treating Dafa with kindness brings heavenly blessings, happiness, and peace!
