(Minghui.org) The International Festival of Ephemeral Art and Dahlia Parade was held in the city of Huamantla, Mexico, on August 9, 2026. Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the parade and were warmly welcomed.
The Dahlia Parade was organized by the city’s Department of Comprehensive Family Development (DIF), a government agency. The parade is one of the highlights of the 152nd edition of the city fair and featured 60 groups.
Huamantla, a historic town in central Mexico, is one of the country’s officially designated “Magical Towns,” a recognition given by the Mexican government to communities with distinctive cultural heritage and traditions. Its vibrant celebrations attract thousands of visitors from Mexico and abroad each year, including the spectacular Dahlia Parade, which honors Mexico’s national flower.

Practitioners carried banners that read: “Falun Dafa in Mexico” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” during the parade, illustrating the three core values that guide their cultivation. They demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises and distributed flyers to attendees to introduce their spiritual practice.

The practitioners’ celestial maiden, waist drum, and dragon dance teams also participated in the parade. Children were surprised and happy to see them. Many children approached the celestial maidens to take photos with them, while others were drawn to the dragon dance.
Local Radio Station: Falun Dafa’s Message Is “Great”
Radio station 1370 AM, which broadcasts in the states of Puebla and Tlaxcala, praised practitioners during its live program broadcast on the station’s social media, and said, “Their practice is based more on the core values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It is great that they come to share this message and knowledge at a parade that is a massive event.”
A float carrying a queen and two princesses also participated in the parade. Vanessa, the queen, said that the practitioners help the Huamantla residents by sharing the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance with them. “It is very beautiful, really,” she said.
“They are very helpful because they connect with oneself and help people who are very lost,” said Princess Kelly, who accompanied Queen Vanessa.

The queen of the “Tianguis el Tequexquital A.C.” association, Guadalupe Edith Flores Angoa, thanked practitioners for providing parade-goers a unique experience.
She also praised Falun Dafa and said, “There are three important values in life for having those moments of peace, wisdom, and knowing how to face what comes day by day.”

Anahí, who lives in Huamantla, praised Falun Dafa and said she was interested in learning more about it, “It can purify our souls, our mind and our lives.”

Angie Armenta watched the parade and said that Falun Dafa’s core principles are basic principles of humanity through which people can find balance and peace.
She appreciated learning about Falun Dafa and said, “It is an interesting opportunity to discover things and work on situations that people do not deal with in our day-to-day lives.”

Shalom Nieto said she believed that many Huamantla residents would benefit from Falun Dafa. “I believe it would be very beneficial for society, and I think there are many people who would benefit from it,” she said.
