(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiu Xiaoxue and Ms. Bian Dongna Face Indictment
2. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Xin’an Sentenced to 3.5 Years
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Lizhu Sentenced to Prison
4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Yuxia Detained
5. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Jingyun Detained
6. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Jingzhou and Mr. Lei Yongbo Released From Prison
7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Detained
8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
9. [Zhongning County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Fugui and His Wife, Ms. Hu Julian, Harassed for Years
1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiu Xiaoxue and Ms. Bian Dongna Face Indictment
Ms. Xiu Xiaoxue and Ms. Bian Dongna were arrested by Bayuquan District Police Department officers at Hongqi Farmers Market on May 15, 2026. Their homes were ransacked. They are currently held at the Yingkou City Detention Center. Their cases have been submitted to the Yingkou City Procuratorate.
2. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Xin’an Sentenced to 3.5 Years
Ms. Liu Xin’an, in her 70s, was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong on January 19, 2026. She was arrested and taken to Ximen Detention Center. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison, and has been admitted to the Hubei Province Women’s Prison.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Lizhu Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Zhou Lizhu was secretly sentenced to three years in prison by Ganjingzi District Court around July 24, 2026. His lawyer didn’t learn about his conviction until August 4, when he visited him at the detention center.
4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Yuxia Detained
Ms. Zhang Yuxia, from Xinbin County, Liaoning Province, distributed Falun Gong materials, while staying at her son’s home in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. She was followed and arrested by officers from Yanjiang Street Police Station on August 4, 2026. The police ransacked the homes of her son and a relative, confiscating over 20 Falun Gong brochures and 1,700 yuan paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them. She is currently held at a detention center in Nanjing.
5. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Jingyun Detained
Ms. Gong Jingyun was arrested by plainclothes officers while walking on the street on the morning of July 28, 2026. She was first held at a local police station, and transferred to the Linyi City Detention Center the next day.
6. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Jingzhou and Mr. Lei Yongbo Released From Prison
Mr. Zhang Jingzhou and Mr. Lei Yongbo were released from the Fanjiatai Prison on August 27, 2025, after both serving six-year prison terms.
7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Mr. Li Haifeng, Ms. Fan Limin, and Ms. Zhang Shumin were arrested on July 20, 2026, and placed under administrative detention. Mr. Li was detained for ten days, while Ms. Fan and Ms. Zhang were each detained for 15 days.
8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Guo Jingxiu and Ms. Wang Guizhen were harassed by officers from Caofan Town Police Station and property management staffers in July 2026. They took a copy of Minghui Weekly and several copies of Falun Gong materials from Ms. Guo’s home. The same officers also harassed Ms. Jiang Youqin at her home on August 6, 2026.
9. [Zhongning County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Fugui and His Wife, Ms. Hu Julian, Harassed for Years
Mr. Wang Fugui and his wife, Ms. Hu Julian, have been frequently harassed by the local police and village officials since 2019. The latest harassment episodes happened between June and July of 2026, when Zhao Qian, the Party secretary of Huangying Village, made numerous phone calls to the couple.
