People Condemn the CCP’s Persecution at the Vietnam Festival in Chiba, Japan

Aug. 5, 2026 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Japan

(Minghui.org) The Vietnam Festival 2026, which was held at Funabashi Racecourse in Chiba, Japan, on July 18 and 19, drew large crowds.

Falun Dafa practitioners set up display boards in Japanese and Vietnamese outside the festival venue on both days to let visitors know about the practice and to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution and its state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting. They called for everyone to help end the persecution.

Even though it rained the first day, the practitioners still talked to passersby about the practice, and many Vietnamese and Japanese stopped to find out more, expressed their support for the practice, and condemned the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa.

Japanese Citizen: Uphold Faith and The Persecution Must End

After listening to a practitioner explain Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, Mr. Yamada said that, if such principles were widely disseminated, conflicts in the world would diminish. He said it is a noble idea capable of bringing about peace.

Ms. Takahashi accepted materials about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution. She learned that Falun Dafa was once promoted by the Chinese regime, but due to personal jealousy, Jiang Zemin, the then-leader of the CCP, started the persecution in 1999. The CCP has since committed all kinds of crimes against Falun Gong practitioners, including forcefully harvesting their organs while they are still alive. Ms. Takahashi was alarmed.

A practitioner told her that many practitioners started cultivating Falun Dafa in pursuit of a healthy mind and body, but they have been persecuted for a long time. Many of them are still risking their lives to raise awareness about the persecution and striving to clear their names.

Ms. Takahashi encouraged the practitioners, “Please keep going. Believe firmly in your own path and persevere!”

Ms. Tanaka expressed her sympathy and support for practitioners who uphold their faith despite undergoing long periods of unreasonable persecution. She said, “Please believe in yourselves and continue to do what you do!”

When the topic of conversation touched on the issue of Japanese citizens traveling to China for organ transplants, Mr. Oshima said that the Japanese government should speak out proactively and not tacitly allow this situation to persist.

Mr. Saito condemned the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, saying, “That is the fault of the CCP. The persecution must stop. Otherwise, the world cannot achieve peace.”

People From Vietnam Show Support

Mr. Wu accepted materials and said, “This is the first time I’ve ever heard about Falun Dafa. I will go online to find out more when I go back to Vietman.”

Mr. Phong, another Vietnamese, was impressed by the practitioners’ peaceful and sincere appearance and stopped to learn more about the practice. A practitioner explained that Falun Dafa guides its practitioners based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. The practitioner also explained how the CCP has defamed and persecuted Falun Dafa for 27 years.

Addressing the “Tiananmen square self-immolation” hoax that Mr. Phong had seen online, a practitioner explained that it was staged by the CCP to persecute Falun Dafa. The practitioner also talked about the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from practitioners and “organ transplant tourism,” expressing the hope that more people would learn the truth and help stop the persecution.

Mr. Phong, who had heard about the forced organ harvesting, kept nodding that he understood. He thought that, since the practitioners are cultivating voluntarily and have benefited from it, there is no reason for others to criticize them. He said that he would not be biased against Falun Dafa based on negative propaganda.

Another man from Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen, asked about the origins of Falun Dafa and its founder. A practitioner explained that Falun Dafa was introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in 1992 and described how the CCP began persecuting the practice in 1999.

When the practitioner expressed his hope that more people from Japan, Vietnam, and China would learn the truth, clear up misunderstandings, and understand the facts, Mr. Nguyen responded, “I hold no prejudice, and I also hope that more people come to understand what Falun Dafa is all about.”

By reading informational materials and having sincere conversations, many Japanese and Vietnamese people gained a new understanding of Falun Dafa and learned more about the CCP’s persecution. Several people said that they would look into it more deeply, while others said they hope that the persecution will end soon.
