(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the annual Fremont Festival of the Arts in Fremont, California, on August 1 and 2, 2026. Many people stopped to read the display boards, learn about Falun Dafa, and sign the petition that calls for an end to the persecution. By demonstrating the exercises and talking to people, practitioners clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa. Many people said freedom of belief and the right to life are worth upholding, and they wanted to help end the persecution.

Forced Organ Harvesting Is Wrong
Ms. Ashton Wolgast, who lives in Fremont, signed the petition that calls for the persecution to end. She explained why she chose to support the efforts to end the atrocity of forced organ harvesting, “Freedom of spiritual belief should not be subjected to any restrictions. I consider the practice of forced organ harvesting to be utterly wrong, and if I can do even a small part to help, I would be very willing to do so.”

When speaking about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, Ms. Ashton said, “These principles are truly wonderful. They serve as a beautiful foundation for anyone to establish themselves in the world.”
Against the backdrop of rapid technological advancement and an increasingly fast-paced society, Ms. Ashton offered her insights into the modern relevance of these traditional concepts and said, “Especially today, as artificial intelligence (AI) and a flood of information saturate our lives and influence our minds, we have an even greater need for something that preserves the essence of our humanity and our spiritual beliefs. For many, these principles serve as an excellent starting point.”
Although Ms. Ashton had no prior exposure to Falun Dafa, she watched the practitioners’ exercise demonstration with great interest after being introduced to the practice by one of them, and she expressed her appreciation for the graceful, gentle movements.
Freedom and Kindness Are the Most Precious Things
Ms. Anna Chui, a local resident, signed the petition to call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) forced organ harvesting and said, “In our current society, many people only focus on gaining benefits, but they forget the truly important things. Human beings need to realize what the most precious things in our lives are.”

With regards to the values of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, which Falun Dafa encourages its practitioners to adhere to, Ms. Anna said, “These are extremely important principles! Being truthful, sincere and kind are the most core values in life.” She thought that everyone should practice these principles in their daily lives.
When she learned that practitioners in China are persecuted and even have their organs harvested while they are alive, just because they remained steadfast to their belief, Ms. Anna expressed her deep concern and said, “Everyone has the right to live and choose their way of living and their belief. Everyone should enjoy freedom.”
Sales Consultant: Forced Organ Harvesting Is a Crime
Sales consultant, Mr. Nicholas Singh, also signed the petition to end the persecution. He said, “The violent act of forced organ harvesting is too cruel and must be stopped immediately. People have the right to live without fear.”

Referring to Falun Dafa’s guiding principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, he said, “These principles are wonderful. More people should abide by these values to live their lives.” He deeply felt that in today’s chaotic and bewildering times, Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are more important than ever, and that human society is in great need of the guidance provided by these values.
Hayward Resident: Forced Organ Harvesting Is Absolutely Unacceptable
Ms. Tony, who lives in Hayward, also signed the petition and said, “Everyone should have the right to live. Under no circumstance should anyone’s organs be harvested without their permission, and coercing others is absolutely unacceptable.”

After a practitioner explained that Falun Dafa’s guiding principles are Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, Ms. Tony said, “I think that everyone should abide by such standards to live their lives, to be truthful, compassionate and tolerant.”
Referring to the current turbulent and complex social environment, she said, “If everyone can treat one another based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, our world would not have so much corruption, anger, and ugliness.”

Ms. Downs explained why she supports practitioners’ efforts to oppose forced organ harvesting, “Everyone should have the freedom to believe according to their own will. No government has the right to tell their people how to think! Everyone is entitled to think independently.”
She praised Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, “These principles are excellent. They are truly wonderful ideals. If the whole world were to embrace and follow them, our society would become a better place.”
She said honesty is an extremely important quality. Everyone should possess kind thoughts and a compassionate heart.
