(Minghui.org) When I came home one evening in November 2025, my husband said to me calmly, “I want to read Zhuan Falun.” It really surprised me, and I responded with a heartfelt sentiment, “You finally want to cultivate. It’s the best blessing for one to be able to cultivate Falun Dafa.”

We have been living with my husband’s parents since we got married. My in-laws have bad tempers, but they are very kind to me and support me in cultivating Falun Dafa. My father-in-law once even showed interest in practicing.

However, that all changed on July 20, 1999, when the overwhelming slander and lies against Falun Dafa started appearing on television and in newspapers. People in China were deceived by the propaganda, and Dafa practitioners and their families have suffered ever since. My family was no exception. I was arrested because I practice Falun Dafa and, after that, my family was very fearful and did all they could to keep me from practicing.

Very late one night, my father-in-law scolded my husband and called me to their room to give me a lecture.

My father-in-law berated me and repeated the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) lies and slander about Dafa. I was speechless; my bitterness was beyond words. I knew my family had truly been deceived by the CCP propaganda.

My husband was not happy with me either and threatened me from time to time. One day I was out with our three-year-old son. My husband called me and told me to get back quickly because the police were coming to our home. I gathered my courage and went home with my son. However, the police never came. What happened was that my father-in-law had found a Falun Dafa flier in my pocket, and they planned to take me to the police station in exchange for a lesser punishment.

Another time, also late at night, my mother-in-law burst into my bedroom to see if I had strangled my son. This was also due to being deceived by CCP propaganda.

Despite the pressure from society and family, my belief in Falun Dafa has never wavered. I’ve read Falun Dafa books and know that it is entirely beneficial to people; we are all direct beneficiaries of Falun Dafa. Those who misunderstand us are simply people who haven’t read the books and have believed the lies and propaganda from CCP state-run media.

Before I practiced Dafa, my father-in-law was very stubborn, my mother-in-law was unreasonable, and my husband scolded me. I lived an unhappy life. However, after I started cultivating Falun Dafa, I became peaceful and optimistic, as Dafa teaches people to be kind and endure during hardship. Our home environment has since become harmonious.

At first, my family believed the CCP’s lies and ignored the good deeds I did for then. I stayed calm and endured my bad-tempered in-laws and helped them out as usual. Gradually, they realized that I was just a normal person and that I would not commit suicide or become obsessed with anything. Moreover, they also saw my devotion to them and began to praise me.

I used every opportunity to clarify the truth to my family. After a few years, my father-in-law listened to the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and began to sincerely recite, “Falun Dafa is good.” My mother-in-law also became a Falun Dafa practitioner.

My husband, however, entered Dafa cultivation after a longer period of time. When I first started to talk about Falun Dafa, he was very impatient and didn’t want to listen at all. So I had to stop. For a period of time, he didn’t allow fellow practitioners to come to our home due to fear. I seriously told him that we should respect each other as he has his own social circle and I have mine. I also told him that we would be very careful for our safety. Gradually, he became more relaxed and let other practitioners come to our home. He also didn’t object to my practicing Falun Dafa.

But he didn’t read Zhuan Falun, so he couldn’t understand what Falun Dafa is truly about and why I am so determined to cultivate Falun Dafa. Therefore, I would often share the teachings with him depending on the situation. For example, the disasters happening everywhere illustrates the principle that good will be rewarded and evil will meet with retribution, and the great danger that the decline of human morality brings to people. After some time, he began to change.

We later installed the New Tang Dynasty television (NTD) satellite dish at home. He was shocked after watching NTD news reports. He didn’t quite believe what I'd told him before and thought I was exaggerating. But after watching these reports, especially the July 20th parade of Falun Dafa practitioners in the US, he was shocked and said, “You have persevered for so many years, and future generations will admire you. If one-third of the Chinese population were to watch NTD, the CCP would collapse overnight.”

For many years, I have been telling him about the beauty of Falun Dafa and he also witnessed mine and fellow practitioners’ behaviors. He has seen that these practitioners genuinely helped each other in times of need without asking for anything in return. My husband said to me, “Your friends are better than mine.”

My husband is now very supportive of me cultivating Falun Dafa. He takes care of the housework without any complaint when I am busy with practice or study. He also helped me distribute truth clarifying materials about Falun Dafa and helped a few of his friends quit the CCP. One of his friends in Beijing survived a severe car accident three days after he quit. My husband said he was blessed after quitting the CCP.

I know very well that Falun Dafa is a true, superior cultivation practice of the Buddha School, and that people have come to this world to obtain it. I often look at my husband with compassion and tell him seriously, “I am a Dafa practitioner and you also came for Dafa, but you are lost in the illusion of the human world and don’t know it yet.”

He looked at me silently. I said to him, “People today are not simple beings anymore. The world is deteriorating, morals are declining, and people are really in a very dangerous situation. Nowadays, even people at a young age are dying for no reason. This is the Gods eliminating people.”

He kept silent. I said to him, “You have suffered countless hardships lifetime after lifetime in order to obtain this Dafa. You should cultivate Dafa as this is why you came into this world.”

I often have this thought in my mind for my husband: “People in this world are here to obtain Dafa, so don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Finally, one day when I got home, the scene at the beginning of this article occurred: My husband obtained the Fa!

It took my husband 27 years to completely understand Falun Dafa and enter Dafa cultivation. He is lucky to have Dafa practitioners by him to clarify the truth to him constantly. How many people have such luck?

Twenty-seven years of brutal persecution have not stopped true Falun Dafa practitioners from telling the world the truth about Dafa in various ways. They are telling the world: “The world is going downhill, morality is declining to the brink of collapse, various disasters are occurring frequently, and humanity is truly at a critical moment of life and death. Only Dafa can save sentient beings!”

I sincerely hope that all the precious people in this world can understand the truth and have a bright future.
