(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Shiying, in her 80s, was arrested in July 2025 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was released on a one-year bail. She was scheduled to stand trial on September 4, 2026.
Mr. Wang Qinping was scheduled to appear in the Zhangqiu District Court for a second hearing on September 9, 2026.
Ms. Deng Meijuan was arrested by six officers from the Nanying Town Police Station on August 31, 2026. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.
Ms. Wang Haiping, in her 60s, was arrested at home around August 29, 2026.
Ms. Liu Hui’s home was ransacked by seven officers on the late evening of September 1, 2026. They also installed surveillance cameras at the elevator entrance of her apartment building.
Mr. Zhang Chuanyong and Ms. Liu Jinrong were harassed by Mingshui First Police Station officers over the phone on September 1 and 2, 2026. They demanded to meet with the practitioners and take photos of them. The practitioners refused to comply.
Ms. Gu Hewen, in her 60s, and Ms. Chen Suzhen, 80, were arrested by Gaozi Police Station officers at midnight on May 8, 2026. They were handcuffed and taken to the Zhenjiang City Detention Center.
Guo Tinghai, gender unknown, was arrested by three officers from the Jiudian Police Station on the evening of August 31, 2026. The police ransacked Guo’s home and confiscated some Falun Gong books and 970 yuan in paper bills printed with Falun Gong facts.
Mr. Xie Xianghe was arrested by officers from the Xinhui District Police Department on August 29, 2026. He has been held at the Jiangmen City Detention Center since.
Mr. Tong Renhua was arrested on August 27, 2026.
