(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Zhongming in Critical Condition During Detention
2. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Yang Hongyu and Li Lianyi Arrested
3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
4. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Jielin Detained
5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guiling Arrested
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Qiang Abused in Prison
7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Lihong’s Hearing Postponed
8. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Fengkui Arrested; Ms. Xing Lanqin Detained
1. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Zhongming in Critical Condition During Detention
Ms. Zhang Zhongming, 78, was arrested at home on April 16, 2026, by officers from the Jianchangdao Police Station, and held at the Hebei District Detention Center. She was recently hospitalized in critical condition.
2. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Yang Hongyu and Li Lianyi Arrested
Yang Hongyu and Li Lianyi were arrested on August 13, 2026, by officers from the Guangpingxiang Police Station.
3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhang Lihua, Ms. Yu Xiuli, Ms. Zhang Qiao, Mr. Cong Yangzi, Wang Xiao, and Yan Wei were arrested on August 11, 2026, and their homes were ransacked.
Mr. Wang Binzhang of Wendeng City was arrested on the same day. His home was also ransacked.
Mr. Qi Yajie and Ms. Wang Chunping were arrested on August 13, by Wendeng City Domestic Security Division officers. Their homes were ransacked. They were released on bail later that day.
4. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Jielin Detained
Mr. Zhang Jielin was arrested on August 3, 2026. He is being held in the Jialing Supervision Center.
5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guiling Arrested
Ms. Liu Guiling was arrested around June 19, 2026, after she was recorded by surveillance camera distributing Falun Gong printed materials.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Qiang Abused in Prison
Ms. Xu Qiang, 66, is serving nine years and ten months in the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison. She developed uremia due to the abuses and is still forced to do hard labor for long hours every day without pay.
7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Lihong’s Hearing Postponed
Ms. Qu Lihong’s hearing, which had been scheduled for August 18, 2026, has been postponed.
8. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Fengkui Arrested; Ms. Xing Lanqin Detained
Mr. Sun Fengkui was arrested in May 2026, after someone reported him for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police searched his home, and confiscated his Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, copies of Minghui Weekly, paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on the bills, and other belongings. He was taken to the police station for questioning, during which the police tried to find the source of the Falun Gong materials. But he did not cooperate. He was released after midnight.
Ms. Xing Lanqin was arrested on July 17, 2026, by the Dianzi Town Police Station officers, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was released after being detained for 10 days.
