(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Tianjin] Ms. Yi Shurong Arrested
2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wei Chunrong Released From Prison
3. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners and Two Family Members Arrested
1. [Tianjin] Ms. Yi Shurong Arrested
Ms. Yi Shurong, in her 60s, was arrested around August 19, 2026, by officers from the Dasi Police Station.
2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wei Chunrong Released From Prison
Ms. Wei Chunrong, 73, was released from the Shandong Province Women’s Prison on September 2, 2026, after serving three years and six months.
She was arrested on March 2, 2023, by officers from the Zhengyanglu Police Station. The Jimo City Court convicted her on January 11, 2024. She was admitted to the prison in June 2024.
3. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners and Two Family Members Arrested
Eight practitioners and two family members of practitioners were arrested in August 2026. Their homes were ransacked.
They were: Mr. Zhang Dongsheng and his wife, Ms. Liu Jinying, Ms. Wang Wenling, Ms. Chen Chenglan, Mr. Zhang Changsheng, Ms. Zhang Jianru, Ms. Li Xiuqin, Mr. Zhang Xiuqi and his non-practitioner daughter and son-in-law.
