(Minghui.org) Over a thousand Falun Gong practitioners from more than 30 European countries held two parades in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, on September 19, 2026. The first parade started at Prague Castle and ended at Old Town Square. The procession then set out again from the square and made its way through Prague’s historic city center.

Many onlookers stopped to watch and take photos along the route. People learned about Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, and signed a petition calling to end the human rights abuse.

Tomasz Szumanski, a museum staff member from Poland, was attracted by the music and watched the parade. He said that the golden-yellow hues in the procession were “like golden flowers, leaving a wonderful impression.”

He said after seeing the banners worded “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance,” “I think these values are very important. They should be applied in our lives. Honesty is important; be yourself, and also be a good citizen of your community, city, and country.”

Julian, a lawyer from the Czech Republic, was on his way to visit Prague Castle with his wife and daughter. He said, “This parade is wonderful, and we really enjoyed the music. Thank you so much for making today so special.

“You follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. We should have kindness and tolerance.”

“I Want to Learn Falun Dafa”

Ruko Maldin, a helicopter technician from Italy, watched the practitioners’ exercise demonstration before the parade and said, “These values are very important.” Reflecting on his own life, he said, “Every day, I have to rush around for work—catching trains, running from place to place, meeting clients—because my job requires frequent travel. So, sometimes I feel that perhaps I need to take a brief break and find myself.” He said he was interested in practicing Falun Dafa.

Learning About the Persecution and Signing the Petition

Some sections of the parade raised awareness of the CCP’s persecution and state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting. A group of practitioners dressed in white held portraits of those who died due to the persecution.

“This is a good parade because it lets people be aware of the situation. I fully support it,” Masoelin May said. “How could such persecution happen? Who on earth allowed this to occur? It is unbelievable. How can such things still happen today?”

She continued, “It is an incredibly intense feeling, yet also a deeply sorrowful one, because something like that simply shouldn’t happen to a person. It is so cruel.”

Many people signed the petition after learning about the CCP’s persecution. Whether at Prague Castle before the march began, during the parade, or at the final destination –the Old Town Square, people stopped to learn about the situation and signed the petition.

Sonali Toman and her husband, Digvijay Singh Tomar, are both researchers affiliated with the Czech Academy of Sciences and Charles University, respectively. They were drawn to an exercise demonstration in Old Town Square. When she heard about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, Sonali said, “It is truly hard for me to accept that such things are happening in the world today. It is truly heartbreaking. I signed the petition because I hope to stop such things.”

Her husband also signed the petition and said, “We oppose everything the Chinese government has done in the persecution of innocent people. I strongly condemn it.”

They said they hoped that through these signatures “everyone in China can have the right to exist.”

He said, “People should have the basic right to live in this world and to live according to their own wishes; especially in China, they should enjoy greater freedom.”

“We feel that we can now do something better for the world and for China. We believe everyone should give this some serious thought,” Masoelin May said after she signed the petition.

Encouraging Practitioners

Taim, who is taking classes in information technology, said this was the second time he’s watched the parade. “I feel there is good energy. Through these activities, the bad energy will be gone. I feel better and actually wish to join them,” Taim said.

After learning about the CCP’s persecution, he said, “We must support the practitioners, wherever they are.”

He encouraged practitioners, “They must keep it up, even though it is hard in China. They must keep going.”

Taim said he hopes that similar activities will be held. Masoelin May echoed his words and said, “You [practitioners] should let everyone be aware of the persecution in China.”

Tomas Bartos said, “They can stop you from seeing this on social media. But they can’t stop you from seeing it with your own eyes in real life.

“And it was a massive, eye-catching parade. Everyone was watching and taking photos and videos—myself included.”

Before she left Masoelin happily said she would share the footage she recorded that day on her social media feed.
