(Minghui.org) I recently read some articles written by Falun Dafa practitioners that emphasize the importance of sending righteous thoughts. I want to tell you about some of my experiences.
I noticed that many practitioners around me haven’t placed much importance on sending righteous thoughts and they didn’t use the divine powers bestowed by Master Li to eliminate evil. As a result, some practitioners linger in long-term sickness karma, or are unable to overcome tribulations. Others are frequently harassed by the police. Still others face long-term tribulations within their families, and their family members don’t understand them. I feel many of these situations happen because they don’t send righteous thoughts.
I was sentenced to a forced labor camp: I was imprisoned, and harassed by the police several times. They threatened and intimidated my family, and told them that I was considered a key person and that if I didn’t write a guarantee statement renouncing my faith, there would be serious consequences. This caused my family to put enormous pressure on me. After each harassment, my family would quarrel with me, which made life at home unbearable.
I read an experience-sharing article describing how a practitioner sent righteous thoughts at the top of every hour. She slept leaning upright so she could easily wake up each hour to send righteous thoughts. As a result, she was seldom harassed.
I was deeply inspired by that sharing and I was moved by the practitioner’s steadfast determination to eliminate the evil in other dimensions. I decided to take sending righteous thoughts seriously.
Since I work full-time, I normally don’t have much time to send extra righteous thoughts during the week, so I decided to increase the frequency on weekends. I started sending righteous thoughts at 9:00 a.m. for 15 minutes, and I sent them at the top of every hour until 9:00 p.m. It was difficult to do this at first because of all kinds of interference, but I persisted.
I haven’t experienced any further harassment since I started doing this. My family also changed significantly. They’ve become more receptive to my telling them about Dafa and they now understand the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) true nature. The police no longer pressure them to interfere with me. Peace has finally returned to my home, and I’ve been able to validate the Fa more consistently.
Master said,
“Everyone, keep up your diligent efforts! Human history does not exist for [people] to take being human as its final goal, nor is human history a recreation ground created for the evil to display its viciousness. Mankind’s history was established for the Fa-rectification, and only Dafa disciples are worthy of displaying their glory here.” (“To the 2005 European Experience Sharing Conference,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)
I send righteous thoughts every day while I take public transportation because I wish to eliminate the negative thoughts the CCP implanted in people’s minds, as well as all the factors of the communist specter in and around them. Whenever I see young people looking at their mobile phones, I send righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors behind their phones. I also make a point of sending righteous thoughts while traveling by high-speed rail or plane, and when I stay in hotels on business trips.
When I first returned to the city where I had been illegally sentenced during a business trip, I was waiting to check in at the hotel when, all of a sudden, dark clouds filled the sky and strong winds began to blow. I sent righteous thoughts to disintegrate all evil factors in other dimensions that interfere with and persecute people. At the same time, I asked Master to strengthen me. I’m a practitioner and I won’t follow the path arranged by the old forces nor allow sentient beings to commit crimes against Dafa.
When it was my turn to check in, a different staff member suddenly came to assist me. She had a warm smile and quickly completed the check-in process. I checked in without any issues and didn’t encounter any problems during my stay at the hotel.
As I was heading to the airport at the end of the business trip, I again sent righteous thoughts to stop the evil from manipulating or using innocent people to commit crimes against Dafa or participating in persecuting practitioners.
As I was preparing to go through security, my boss asked me to go with him using the VIP channel. I continued sending righteous thoughts, disintegrating all the evil factors in other dimensions that interfere and persecute practitioners, and to clear away the poisonous substances instilled in the staff members’ minds.
When I handed my ID card to the staff member, the woman looked at me with a serious expression. I smiled at her, but she remained silent. She completed the necessary procedures, and I passed through security without incident.
On many subsequent business trips, I followed the same approach, and the process was completed smoothly each time.
Master is always watching over and protecting us. As long as we maintain righteous thoughts, there is no tribulation we cannot overcome. The persecution orchestrated by the old forces is merely an illusion. What matters is whether we can maintain righteous thoughts. However, we shouldn’t adopt the mentality of just trying something to see what happens. Such a thought is already a manifestation of not believing in Master and the Fa.
A few days ago, a practitioner told me she planned to take a high-speed train to test whether she would be intercepted. As a result, when she scanned her ID at the gate, her name appeared on the large screen, and staff called her over for questioning. She never took the high-speed train again. Doesn’t her testing the system show a lack of faith in Dafa while also acknowledging the persecution orchestrated by the old forces?
When the local residential staff came to harass my family, they said that if I didn’t give up my faith, I would not be allowed to travel by airplane or high-speed train. My family confidently told them: “She just flew back from another town. No one said she couldn’t take the flight.” This shows that our family members change depending on the state of our cultivation.
When we send righteous thoughts, we should add one more thought: completely eradicate all the CCP’s “documents and evidence” that it intends to use to persecute practitioners. Do not allow the evil to use these materials to commit crimes against Dafa.
At the same time, let all monitoring and surveillance devices, as well as network monitoring, blocking, and inspection devices, have no effect on us. I communicated with these devices: “You are all beings within the Fa, and you all came here for the Fa. You hope to receive salvation through Dafa. Please unconditionally assimilate to the universal principles of ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Remember: Falun Dafa is good. Do not assist the evil in doing harm, and do not allow yourselves to be used to persecute practitioners. If you stand on the side of Dafa, you will have a bright future.”
One time, when I was going through airport security, the check was done by an automated scanner. The boy in front of me had been trying to scan his ID for quite a while, but the machine wouldn’t recognize it. I sent righteous thoughts and communicated with the machine in my mind: “Machine, you too are a life within the Fa. Please remember that Falun Dafa is good. Please do everything you can to help me, and do not play a negative role.”
As soon as I had this thought, when I put my ID on the scanner, the gate opened instantly without needing a second pass. It was truly amazing.
A recent report on Minghui.org said that in the first half of this year, two practitioners in our area passed away after enduring long-term, intense persecution. This was a heartbreaking loss.
After carefully reading about the severe persecution practitioners endured over the years, I felt that, as practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, we should not allow such things to happen. How immense is the sin committed by the sentient beings who persecute practitioners?
Master said,
“In order to completely eliminate the persecution of Dafa disciples by the dark minions, rotten demons, and old forces, all Dafa disciples around the world—particularly the Dafa disciples in each region of mainland China—are to concertedly send righteous thoughts toward those evil places, thoroughly dissolving all evil beings and elements that persecute Dafa disciples, clearing away the evil circumstances under which Dafa disciples are persecuted in mainland China, and saving the world’s people, [thereby] fulfilling the duties of a Dafa disciple and advancing toward godhood.” (“Thoroughly Dissolve the Evil,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)
Twenty years have passed, yet practitioners are still severely persecuted. I feel this is because we haven’t met Master’s requirements and have failed to fulfill our responsibilities.
From observing the behavior of the practitioners around me, I realized that, besides sending righteous thoughts at the four scheduled times each day, they no longer do so at other times. They even skip sending righteous thoughts at 8 or 9 p.m. each evening. In other words, regarding the interference in our area—in the locations where practitioners are being persecuted, practitioners do not eliminate it. How can detained and persecuted practitioners receive support and help from other practitioners?
I also read an experience-sharing article in which a practitioner said we should focus on eliminating the interference in Beijing, the evil’s stronghold. This practitioner saw with their celestial eye that a great deal of evil was being distributed from Beijing to different parts of the country through various channels, resulting in persecution in various locations. I feel that this is something we should take seriously. Many of the orders from the evil forces do, in fact, come from the top down—from Beijing.
Therefore, I also make a point to send righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in Beijing and destroy all the channels through which the evil is transmitted.
Whenever I send righteous thoughts that include awakening those who persecute practitioners, I remember these words from one of Master’s poems: “... Persecuting good people, no shame ...” (“Rotten,” Hong Yin III), which make those who participate in the persecution too ashamed to show their faces, thereby creating an effective deterrent and preventing them from committing further crimes.
I have seen that some of these people suffer retribution but they don’t realize it. For example, one person said that she was in very poor health, yet she failed to consider that it might be connected to the persecution she participated in.
If retribution resulted in facial disfigurement, like a crooked mouth or misaligned eyes, it could shame the wrongdoers into hiding their faces. This would make them feel they have truly been punished and discourage further misdeeds. People around them might also realize these individuals are suffering the consequences of their actions, and this would serve as a warning to others.
Moreover, government departments place great importance on the personal image of their civil servants. If someone were to become facially disfigured and too ashamed to show their face, they would be unable to continue working. In this way, those government departments would no longer commit crimes.
When we send righteous thoughts, we could include a thought that those who have committed serious crimes will receive retribution, immediately stop doing wrong, and no longer harm others.
As Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification, Master has bestowed upon us the super power to send righteous thoughts. We should therefore make full use of our abilities to accomplish our tasks, save sentient beings, and truly fulfill our vows to assist Master in Fa-rectification, so that we meet Master’s expectations and the hopes of sentient beings.
