(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the 34th Annual Ocean County Columbus Day Parade in Seaside Heights on October 19, 2025. Their waist-drum dance and lotus fairy dance brought traditional Chinese culture to the festival and won high praise.

Grand Marshal Anthony Zarrilli praised the drum dance. “The drum beats are incredible! Their banner says ‘Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance. It’s great!” He was happy to see Falun Dafa practitioners enjoy freedom in the U.S.

Bernadette Jones, Miss Congeniality, NJ Senior, said, “They [Falun Dafa practitioners] are marvelous! I feel their beauty and colors! Look at their smiles!”

Jerri O’Connor says that the drum dancers are her friends, and she sees them every year. “This is America. We include every culture!”
Ms. Sun, a member of the drum dance troupe, was imprisoned and tortured for two years in China for practicing Falun Dafa. She is grateful for the freedom in the U.S. “I was persecuted in China, but I have freedom to practice my belief here,” she said.
