(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

8. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Anhua and Ms. Gong Jinghua Harassed
9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Shen Xiuzhen Arrested
10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Shuxia and Ms. Liu Fenglan Detained
11. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Bo Abused in Tilanqiao Prison
1. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Shuang Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
Ms. Sun Shuang from Fangshan District was reported to the police for distributing desk calendars bearing Falun Gong information on November 22, 2023. She was arrested and held in Fangshan District Detention Center. The Fangshan District Court sentenced her to five years with a 5,000-yuan fine on March 20, 2025. She has appealed.
2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gou Yanhong Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Gou Yanhong from Xinglongtai District was arrested in October 2024. She was sentenced to one year and ten months in prison in April 2025. Her prison term is to end in August 2026.
3. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Ying Arrested
Ms. Xu Ying, also known as Xu Guizhen, from the Quanyang area was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in 2024. She was arrested by two officers from Quanyang Forestry Domestic Security Division on April 3, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in Baishan City Detention Center.
4. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Wenmiao Arrested
Ms. Zhang Wenmiao was arrested on April 10, 2025.
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Song Huichan Held in Custody
Ms. Song Huichan from the Tanggu area in Binhai New Area was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong shortly after 10 a.m. on April 11, 2025. She was arrested by three officers from the Yingkoudao Police Station. The police raided her home that night. She is still detained at the time of writing.
6. [Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Fu Yinping Arrested
Ms. Fu Yinping, a native from Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province, currently lives in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. She was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong on April 7, 2025 and was arrested by officers of the Jiaojiang District Police Department. She is being held in Taizhou City Detention Center.
Ms. Fu’s latest arrest came less than a year after she was released from the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison. She was previously sentenced twice to a total of 5.5 years by the Longjiang County Court in Heilongjiang.
7. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pi Xiurong Released from Prison
Ms. Pi Xiurong, 66, from Lianwangya Village, Jiuzhai Township, Mengyin County, was sentenced to two years and fined 20,000 yuan by the Yinan County Court in 2023. She has been released from the Shandong Province Women’s Prison on March 11, 2025.
8. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Anhua and Ms. Gong Jinghua Harassed
Ms. Gong Anhua, 60, was harassed at home by officers from Jiuzhai Township Police Station in late February 2025.
Ms. Gong Jinghua, 62, was also harassed and forced to pay a fine of 15,000 yuan. Under tremendous pressure, her husband, who originally supported her practicing Falun Gong, has turned against her. He now often beats and verbally abuses her.
9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Shen Xiuzhen Arrested
Ms. Shen Xiuzhen was arrested and taken to a detention center on April 9, 2025, after she was recorded while distributing Falun Gong materials. She was released the following day, as the detention center refused to admit her due to her high blood pressure. The police threatened to take her back to the detention center after her blood pressure comes down.
10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Shuxia and Ms. Liu Fenglan Detained
Ms. Liu Shuxia and Ms. Liu Fenglan from Songshanyu Village, Donglianhuayuan Township, Qianxi County went to Majiagou Village to distribute Falun Gong materials and put up self-adhesive signs on the evening of February 27, 2025. Villager Ma Haining reported them to the police. The two practitioners were arrested by officers from the Huayuan Police Station and released on the same day. The police took them back into custody at the Qianxi County Detention Center on March 4 for seven days. The police repeatedly ordered them to sign the three statements during their detention.
11. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Bo Abused in Tilanqiao Prison
Mr. Liu Bo was admitted to the Tilanqiao Prison in July 2024 to serve time. He suffered brutal torture for not renouncing Falun Gong. Every day from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., he was forced to sit with his hands behind his back. The guards also instigated the inmates to verbally and physically abuse him. They did not allow him to wash himself or change clothes. At night, the inmate on duty woke him up every half an hour with the excuse of measuring his blood pressure.
