(Minghui.org) I have noticed that many practitioners do not place enough emphasis on studying the Fa. The amount they study and the effectiveness of their study are often insufficient. Some practitioners pay attention to studying the Fa, but only place emphasis on studying Zhuan Falun, and spend less time on the lectures given in other regions. Although they are diligent in their cultivation, insufficient understanding of the Fa has brought some practitioners major difficulties, and they still don’t know where their problem lies. I think that their lack of Fa study has caused them to be unclear about many things that Master has explicitly explained.
I belong to the type of people who have poor understandings of the Fa. To put it bluntly, my mind is rigid, as though it has rusted. I still remember that when I was in primary school, my grades were always among the lowest in the class. As I later worked harder than others, I went through hardship to attain above average grades. During my cultivation, I feel that I am weak in my understanding of the Fa, looking within, and the ability to think.
The reason I’ve been able to reach where I am in the process of Fa-rectification is that I have studied the Fa more. I put a lot of effort into studying the Fa. I have memorized one round of all of Master’s lectures, except for Hong Yin V and Hong Yin VI. I also memorized Zhuan Falun many times. When I study Zhuan Falun now, I study it from memory. I have also memorized Master’s comments in one round, and am also familiar with most of the articles that the Minghui editorial board has published.
Whatever Master teaches is the Fa, and we must definitely abide by these teachings in our cultivation. I thus think that I should remember all the Fa that Master has taught, and memorizing it is often the best way to do so.
I mainly memorize Zhuan Falun, but I have also memorized all the other lectures at least once. This has helped me avoid countless tribulations that the old forces had arranged for me, and I have also seen all sorts of problems that fellow practitioners face. I am able to do so mainly due to the guidance of the Fa. With many matters, I am clear about if they align with the Fa, and am able to judge this not by my own thoughts, but by the display of the Fa that I have memorized in my mind. I understood Fa principles when I was memorizing the Fa and thus was able to use the Fa to guide me.
I don’t voluntarily look for practitioners to exchange thoughts with in cultivation, but if Master has arranged for me to meet someone, I will point out that fellow practitioner’s problems. Most of the time, the problems are ones of principles. I have noticed that many practitioners still make mistakes continuously and repeatedly in some matters of the principles, despite Master having already explained them clearly, because their Fa study and their understanding of the Fa principles are insufficient. This is especially true for the coordinators, famous personnel, those relatively active practitioners, and those who like to show off or express their thoughts in China.
Many of these practitioners seem to have done a lot of things, but because their Fa study isn’t sufficient, they aren’t clear enough about the Fa principles. These practitioners have done many wrong things, which have actually caused interference to the Fa-rectification, without themselves knowing it. I often worry for these practitioners when I see the things that they do, but no matter how I try to persuade them, they just don’t listen, and many of them are even very adamant. I feel that if they were able to put more effort into Fa study, they would definitely not dare to behave in such a high profile manner among fellow practitioners, causing disruptions.
I try to always squeeze in enough time to study the Fa. In the past, my job was very relaxing so I spent time at work memorizing the Fa. After returning home, other than completing the housework that I must do, I will just sit down to study the Fa. Of course, I must also raise my child well. Therefore, I try to call my child to study the Fa with me, but I don’t force him, because he is already an adult. Most of the time, he will come to study when I call him.
I believe that it is not easy to come to earth and live this life. It is also not easy to obtain the Fa in this lifetime. In order to graduate or earn money, ordinary people will exhaust all their efforts. I feel that in the face of this precious Dafa, if I don’t expend all my effort, like how ordinary people do, it is really an insult to myself and Dafa. Therefore, I put in my utmost effort, like how I did during my time at school. Most of the time, I don’t dare to slack off. Of course there are also times when I am not so diligent in my cultivation, but I understand that I must be diligent in my cultivation, and should not slack off.
When we study the Fa well, we are also saving the beings in our own systems. Only when we study the Fa well are we able to manipulate the supernatural powers that Master has bestowed us with, as well as clarify the truth and save sentient beings successfully. We cannot come to earth and live this lifetime in vain. We are very lucky to be able to live in this time when Master is spreading Dafa, so I dare not take this opportunity for granted, and must cherish it.
I discovered that many practitioners actually have much higher abilities to understand the Fa and look within than I do, but they have not put enough effort into studying the Fa, which is a real pity. If they had put more effort into it, many people would have been able to avoid many unnecessary deviations on their cultivation paths.
The above are my understandings which I have written down to share with fellow practitioners.
